Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2002..... The first significant rainfall since Spring has come within the last week or so. A couple of storms passed through last Fri morning around 2 and we took some lightning hits. The last count was a telephone wire, the hot water heater, two televisions and the modem in my WEBTV unit. I had been looking for a way to divorce WEBTV since I signed on with AOL, but not quite this way... The second Summer course ends this coming Thurs, but not before the school year begins for me at North Rowan this Tuesday. Homework for this, the final weekend of Summer School, is heavy with study questions, a notebook, a journal entry, a discussion board entry and a reflections activity... This past Thurs, our class participated in a service learning project at the Head Start Center in Winston-Salem. The three, four and five year-olds were very well behaved. In addition to reading a story to a group of four year-olds, I manned a hot dog grill, gave directions to visiting parents, helped children down a short flight of stairs, helped to set up tables and chairs for outside games and dodged a summer storm...I've had the Honda for three weeks now and I've put less than 300 miles on it. I'm driving the Thunderbird to save the miles on the Honda... Front row tickets to WWE Raw wrestling tomorrow night in Greensboro. Tune in to the show on TNN and you may just see Rob...
