Rob's Journal

Sunday night, October 7, 2001...... After a morning of feeling a bit under the weather, I decided to head out to the fairgrounds for the last day of the Dixie Classic Fair. While buying peanut butter fudge, I noticed the pictures on a nearby television set. Meanwhile, people had begun to crowd around a larger set mounted on the concourse wall. As I made my way over, I saw that it was tuned to MSNBC and Pres Bush was speaking to the nation. Retalliatory strikes had begun in Afghanistan. We were at war.... workday at North Rowan tomorrow, getting grades turned in as first quarter is now history, and report cards go out next Mon.... I have an appointment this week at Winston-Salem State, where I begin classes either this spring or summer to add a license to my certificate to teach the learning disabled.... patriotism, and fear, are at a high in our country now. Be strong. Hang tough. Believe. Thank you for being with me here at David Roberson . Com.
