Saturday October 21......... Random thoughts: The 2000 edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers came in the mail today. Many of you know that I am a multiple-year nominee....one week from today, ACTS performs in the NCTC contest at Greensboro College. Two hours away, in Person County, my niece Morgan will celebrate her fifth birthday...with a party....without her Uncle David, who will be in Greensboro....at work, again.....should get the much-promised IBM Thinkpad this Mon night in a two-hour workshop at Wake Forest University. The stipulations include 8 additional hours of workshops this year...and a powerpoint presentation.....Steel Magnolias is shaping up and should be a very good show. Reharsals are going well. It is nice to be able to work with a cast who bonds well and respects each other..... looks as if East may stumble into the playoffs. South Rowan is a guarantee....would be interesting if they played each other..... XOOM Counter shows visitors to the site from Indiana, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, New York and Montana recently, along with in-state cities like Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte, Kannapolis and Salisbury.
