Sunday Evening, July 27, 2003 ..... And so, summer goes. Tomorrow morning, the new school year begins with an all-day workshop for high school teachers at South Rowan High. The following morning is the annual convocation meeting at Catawba College. And classes begin for teachers and students on Tue Aug 5. The beach has not yet happened for me this summer. Three more classes down towards my certification add-on in teaching Learning Disabilities, with 2 B's and an A. That leaves two classes for the fall, and then the Praxis Test. I already have beach plans for next summer, the first in three that I will not be in school. This summer was more than classes, though... I signed a career contract with the Rowan-Salisbury system for the second time in my life, I had a lunch date with Mary Grace, and, I hope, a long-lasting friendship was formed, and a date this week looks to be very promising. The amazing event of the summer has to be what occurred this afternoon. As I was walking through JC Penney at Hanes Mall, I heard someone call my name. I turned around to see Lisa Ann Brandt, now Lisa Martin. She and I went to UNCC together, and had not seen each other in a long time. She's married, with 2 children, and is an ER nurse at High Point Regional... I bought a new Gateway 450x laptop this summer, and invested in a couple of stocks which seem to be doing fairly well... And so, summer goes. Thank you for being with me here at David Roberson . Com.
