A difficult week. Folks, I'm tired to of trying to please everyone. And I'm ready for a little respect and recognition. The theatre department at East Forsyth was falling apart two years ago, led by a man who had either burned out or truly did not care about his program. The lady before him had her favorites, pre-chose her cast BEFORE the auditions and partied with her students. I've been teaching for seventeen years. I am not burned out, I do not party with my students, I try to be impartial, I choose my cast based solely upon talent, not seniority. I have produced sixteen student productions, and have some knowledge and experience. Whether I am told or not, whether it is understood or not, I am good at what I do and I am the answer to the department I have the responsibilty of leading.
