Water spellsIce ShieldRange: Self only PPE: 15 Save: None Duration: Until destroyed or dispelled This spell creates a shield composed of Ice on the warlock's arm of choice. The shield has 10 MDC per level of the warlock. The shield is +3 to parry and nearly weightless. Lasers and light-weapons bounce off the surface and are diffracted; therefore rendered harmess. Kinetics do 1/2 damage. |

Stairs of Mist Range: 10 feet Height: 10 feet per level PPE: 20 Save: none Duration: 10 minutes per level This spell creates a column of mist/fog that can be ascended like a spiral staircase. Maximum weight is limited to 200lb per level of the warlock. If cast in a wet/humid area (in or near a swamp, river, etc) the column will form in D4 melee actions. If created in a dry area (desert or mountain, etc) it will take D4 melees to form. Dehydrate Range: 10 feet per level PPE: 25 Save: Vs. magic at -2 Duration: Instant This damaging spell drains a living creature of stored water and thereby causes numerous side-effects. Damage: D4 SDC/MDC/HP per level the Warlock, 50% chance to be bowled over with stomach cramps; -1 strike/parry/dodge, -2 attacks per melee, -2 initiative, skills are at -10%, PE is -D6. Effects last for 10 minutes (+ 2 minutes per repeated casting, penalties are cumulative.) This spell can kill with enough re-castings either by reducing Hit Points to the -PE number or by reducing PE to Negative Ten. Ice Bridge Range: 10 feet Length: 30 feet per level Width: 2 feet per level PPE: 35 Save: None Duration: 5 minutes per level A bridge of ice can be created to span rivers or chasms. The surface of the bridge is roughened to help with traction. Any Sense of Balance rolls only suffer -5%, Maintain Balance rolls are only at -1. Restrictions in creation time are similar to the Stairs of Mist, only it is D6 actions or melees instead of D4. The Bridge has 50 MDC plus 10 MDC per level. The Bridge can hold 500lb per level at one time. Ice Grenades Range: Thrown PPE: 15 for SDC damage, 35 for MDC damage Save: Dodge Duration: One Melee after leaving the Warlock's hand. In essence, this spell creates a sphere of ice in the warlock's hand. Once the warlock lets go, the inside of the sphere starts sublimating into a gas quicker than the outside does. Tremendous pressure is therefore building up inside the sphere. In one melee the ball explodes, sending hard, sharp ice fragments everywhere. SDC Damage: D6 SDC per level of the warlock. MDC Damage: D6 MDC at level One + D6 MDC at levels 3,5,7,9,11,etc. Geiser Range: PPE: Save: Duration: I'm trying to find my notes on this one. Iceberg (Ritual) Range: 100 feet upon casting (must be in water, no dropping it!) but can drift away for unlimited range. PPE: 300 Save: Stay away fom it. Duration: One Day per levels (see below), half that in tropical waters One of the more impressive elemental feats, this spell creates a monstrous ice cube weighing in at 10 tons per levels (plural) of the mages participating in the spell. This means that if a Ninth level warlock leads the ritual with 2 Fifth levels and a Second level, the total levels are 21 (9+5+5+2,) or 210 tons. The average size of the 'berg above water will be [10 ft high x 20 ft x 20 ft base] per level of the leading warlock. The 'berg can move at 10 knots plus one knot per level against or with the water currents. For an extra 50 PPE the iceberg can be "programmed" to home in on a ship or block ports by moving close to nearby ships (within 50ft per level of the Warock from the iceberg.) A full head-on ram against a ship will do D4x10 MDC per 10 tons the iceberg weighs. A ram in the same general direction as the iceberg does D4/10 tons. A ram to the side does D4/ 5 tons of iceberg weight. Piloting control rolls to avoid a head-on collision are performed at -10% per 10 knots the ship is travelling (only for the bigger ships.) In a pinch, this spell can also be used for transportation on the water, just focus on creating a flat spot to rest on the berg and control it mentally. |
