New Caledonia Chapter
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
Units Overseas

The New Caledonia Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded on February 4th, 1988 and was the third chapter in Canada. The Organizing Regent was Helen Stewart. The chapter is a member of the DAR Units Overseas. The current regent of our chapter is Alys Monod. We welcome new members and invite all those interested in joining the DAR in British Columbia to contact us. Though members share a proven lineage and heritage as a descendant of a patriot of the American Revolution, American citizenship is not a requirement.

The chapter was originally located in the Thompson Okanagan/Okanagan Valley of British Columbia in Western Canada. The area reminded Simon Fraser (one of the early explorers) of his home in Scotland or Caledonia. The province is affectionately referred to as Beautiful British Columbia. In April, 2002, the chapter voted to move to Vancouver.
