Hi, my name is William Jackson Carson. I'm a police officer with the Montreal City Police Department (MCPD), in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I have been collecting law enforcement patches since October 1997.
I collect patches from all around the world.
I have my own Montreal current patch to offer as well as the older style Montreal patch, my father was a police officer in St.Hubert for 33 years as a Detective, he is now retired (it is a town on Montreal's south shore). I also have his patch to offer.I also have a trade list available if you already have these or they do not interest you.
I was a patrolling officer responding to emergency calls for 8 years.
Since 2000-12-03 I am part of our Crime Scene Unit. In November and December of 2001 I was at the Canadian Police College in Ottawa, Canada following the Forensic Identification Course.
Although we do not wear patches in our Crime Scene Unit I am also interested in collecting Crime Scene Unit patches or Forensic Unit patches from other agencies that have them. Of course I am still into regular police patches.
Here in the MCPD, we have 4300 police officers, we have about 2 million in population, our territory used to group 28 cities and towns. But since January 1st 2002 all 28 cities and towns on the Island have amalgamated to become the City of Montreal. Our territory is an island with the St.Lawrence River below us.
E-mail me if you're interested in a trade or about information on our police force.
