Saucy Round Steaks

    Serves 50
     

     17 lbs. round steak
    3/4 lb. flour
    1 1/2 lbs. onions
    1 lb. green pepper
    1 lb. celery
    1 lb. carrots
    8 sm. cans cream of mushroom soup
    Salt
    Pepper
    4 c. water

     Cut steaks to serving size.  Roll steak in flour, salt and pepper mixture.  Brown steak in a fry pan with small amount of oil.  Layer a pan with meat then vegetables and repeat until meat and vegetables are gone.  Cover with the cans of soup.  Bake in a moderate oven or roaster several hours (3-4) or until meat falls apart.
