Homemade Pancake Syrup

    Serves 100

           2 qt. (8 c. water)
          1 1/2 oz corn starch
          6 lb brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
          1 1/3 tbsp. mapline flavoring
          .

          Combine first 4 ingredients.  Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and
    cook 10 min. or until thickened.  Remove from heat and stir in flavoring.
    Syrup with thicken further upon cooling..
    This allows 2 Tbsp. per serving.
