8 c. rolled oats, not instant
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. wheat germ, untoasted
1 1/2 c. oat bran, unprocessed
1 c. chopped nuts, unsalted
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. sesame seed or lightly toasted flax seeds
1 c. canola oil
3/4 c. honey
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. raisins
Stir to blend all dry ingredients: oats, sugar, wheat
germ, nuts, coconut, bran, sesame seed and sunflower seeds. In
a small pan heat oil, honey and vanilla until bubbling.
Thoroughly mix liquids with dry ingredients. Bake at 325 degrees for
20 minutes, stirring mixture every 5 minutes. Stir until cool.
Add raisins when completely cool. Store in airtight containers.
You can also add a small amount of natural bran or other dried fruits.
