6 bottles champagne (25 oz. /750 ml.) ea.
6 bottles dry Sauterne wine (25 oz./750 ml.) ea.
1 bottle brandy (25 oz/750 ml.)
3 cans sweetened grapefruit juice (48 oz.) ea.
Chill all ingredients thoroughly. When ready to serve, combine in large
chilled punch bowl(s). Make up 1/3 at a time if necessary.
Allows about 3 punch cups (4 ounces) servings for 50 people.
Makes 150 punch cups.
Champagne Punch #3
2 cups sugar 375 ml
(1/2 bottle) inexpensive Brandy
5 bottles decent inexpensive Champagne. (25 oz/750 ml.)
6 EACH, oranges, lemons and limes, sliced thin into rounds
1 fresh pineapple, cut into chunks (canned will do, but fresh is better),
1/2 bag of ice in small cubes or crushed (more or less to fit the bowl.
Combine sugar, brandy and fruit. Chill. Add to punch bowl,
gently pour in 4 bottles of Champagne.
To complete, garnish with strawberries and pour a final bottle of
champagne theatrically over the top.
