TIP: Avoid things that will 'melt' in the heat, such as chocolate covered cookies, or things
that contain whipping cream or cream cheese, unless you have enough cooler space.
You can pack such goodies frozen in the cooler.  They will thaw quickly when needed.

TIP:  Marinated salads are easy picnic fare and pack well into ziplock bags (double bag)
or jars for easy storage in the picnic cooler.

TIP: Fresh summer fruit makes an easy snack along with potato chips, pretzels etc.
and requires no refrigeration.

TIP: Be sure to pack all the supplies you will need, table cover, plates, cups,
dish cloth, paper towels, matches, bbq., charcoal, starter, condiments,
salt and pepper,  a sharp knife, serving spoons, cutlery and a small cutting board.

TIP:  Be careful when transporting food that must be kept cold.  Be sure is is
thoroughly chilled when placing in the cooler to start. Do not remove
from cooler until ready to eat.  When meal is complete, place any
left over food back in coolers immediately.
