Brunch Meals are ideal for celebrating Mothers Day,
Easter, Grandma's Birthday,
a Christening, even a Going Away party for a very busy person, and of course
Family Get-togethers where schedules make it difficult for evening entertaining.
Brunch is a cross over meal that can combine both breakfast
items with a few lunch-like
items. You can keep it simple or create an extremely elaborate meal. Most Brunches are
served buffet style letting people choose their own items.
May we suggest:
Fruit Salad in Watermelon or fruit kabobs
or a platter of fresh sliced melons
Two hot dishes:
Barbara's Egg Casserole or Brunch Pie or Make ahead Brunch
Caramel French Toast or Blueberry Cheese Strata
Two Sweet Breads
Wink or Nod Cinnamon Buns or Raspberry Cream Coffee Cake
Carrot Pineapple Muffins or Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins
and /or Croissants
Have butter/margarine available for buns and muffins.
Coffee and Tea and Orange Juice
Hot Chocolate for the children.
Depending on the number of people you are feeding, increase the recipes
or add more breakfast
casseroles, muffins, etc. as needed. All these recipes can either be made ahead and frozen
or assembled the night before and baked just before serving.
Prepare the food ahead of time and set the table the night before. Last minute prep. will
be kept to a minimum.
