Welcome to the Jesus Freaks Unite!!! web page! It's still under construction so bear with me through the limitations until I can spend a bit more time on it. This page is here to evangalize the lost and to encourage the church of Jesus Christ. The term "Jesus Freak" is just that, a term, take it or leave it, but I challenge you to embrace all that it stands for. We Christians are not of this world! We should take comfort in the fact that we are persecuted and thought of as weird. Jesus said, "The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world and so it hates you." John 15:19 "You should have as much desire for this world as a dead person does. Your real life is in Heaven with Christ and God." Colossians 3:3. Think about that...that's an awesome concept!!! Our life is in Heaven with Christ and God!!! How many of us can say we truly live from the Holy Spirit testifying this profound truth in our hearts? "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think." Romans 12:2.
Let me stress here too the danger of supplementing tradition for God's Word. God tells us to come out from the world and to be His own; that means to come out of the world's traditions and customs as well. Hair styles, dress codes and worship styles are debatable issues, so why waste our time with them?? In Christ we are given the "freedom to serve one another in love." Galations 5:13. So let's walk in the Spirit and purify our hearts, the flesh is going to die off anyway!
