She was born Katelyn Marie Ford, the 5th of August, 1980, in
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. So, how come you can't tell?
"We moved to the U.S. when I was five, so I've kinda lost the whole accent."
The family relocated to Orlando Florida, and then later to Tampa. Ever since Katelyn could
walk, (or Kate, as her close friends call her) she was always trying to be the center of
attention, and even began her modelling career at the tender age of seven.
"I remember always trying to get everyone's eyes on me. I loved the attention. I
still do. You'll always catch me doing something wild."
Like recently, when Katelyn and two of her friends attended the premiere of Austin
Powers:The Spy Who Shagged Me
"Right before we went there, me and my friends decided to go get our tongues
pierced."She remembers with a laugh.
But make no mistake, this 18 year old is everything but a trouble maker. A true Christian,
she and her family attend mass every Sunday.
"I used to always complain when we had to go, but now, I want to."
And what is Katelyn's fondest memory of her childhood?
"Being signed to one of the biggest record labels around and getting to meet tons of
famous people!"
