These dogs are the truly old-fashioned bulldogs of the old Roman days,
bulldogs of days gone by. These dogs almost became extinct back in the early 1900's.
But actually they were alive and well in the backwoods of America.

The Hermes family has been raising these dogs privately for 3 generations,
selectively breeding for large size, excellent health, and a
unique temperament combining hunting drive, intelligence, and playful friendliness.

Hermes Olde English Bulldogges can withstand temperatures up to 90 degrees, and down to 50 degrees below zero. They have the rugged health of working dogs. They are not prone to hip dysplasia or birthing difficulties. Their speed, power and agility are overwhelming, along with being "First to befriend and foremost to defend..."

These are not of the Leavitt Bulldogge line; neither are they American Bulldog or Pit Bull Terrier. Hermes Olde English Bulldogges are of the standard of the true English Bulldogge. They have been known to top out weights of 145 lbs, with a head of 30 inches and more.

Will top out at 105 lbs.

Dio with my daughter, Marvea. Dio is a 146 pound male. His head is 33", his chest is 241/2".	Jamie with my daughter, Marvea. Jamie, a 95 pound female, is a full littermate sister to Dio. Inset in lower right corner shows another view of Jamie.

Roxy is a 110 pound female. Full littermate sister to Sir Hillbilly.	Hermes Rambo at one year old is 140 lbs. Will top out at 150 lbs.
Hercules' puppy, four weeks old	Hermes Jumbo II, 8 weeks old and 22 pounds!
Hermes Sir Hillbilly II at 8 months old weighing in at 100 pounds. Will top out at 140 pounds.	Hermes Payday at one year old is 75 lbs. Will top out at 85 lbs.
This is Sir Hillbilly at 14 months. Weighting 140 pounds and topping out at 3 years of age at 155 pounds.
Hermes Hercules is 120 pounds at 13 months old. Will top out at 140 pounds.	Hermes Alma is one year old and 110 lbs. Will top out at 120 lbs.
