Five Minute Major is a brand new zine dedicated to building our readers interest and knowledge on our underground scene. We intend to focus on punk, hardcore and grindcore music and will eventually have info on booking [Five Minute Major]

shows in Vancouver and complete upcoming show listings. The way this site works is relative to professional hockey. For example, a hardcore band is a team playing in the hardcore league, a punk band is a punk team, a grindcore band from Germany is a team playing in the European Grindcore League, a drummer is a goalie, a bassplayer is a defenseman, a singer is a center, and a guitarist plays either left or right wing. Get the idea? All the bands that participate have alot of fun in doing so. What makes this zine different from all the rest is that anyone can contribute (provided they can write intelligent and interesting articles) and band members contribute just as much as the regular writers. You can even expect several guest columists in the near future. Check out what we have now and check back later for updates.
