SHAWN BARRY

Shawn is one of North America's foremost Elvis impersonators. In fact, Earl McRae, Ottawa Sun Columnist "McRae's World" says in his Column on Friday, 22 Oct 99:

"Shawn Barry, Elvis Impersonator?" - - - "No -- Shawn Barry, Elvis Clone."

Mr. McRae goes on to say: "Indeed. Last winter, Moe (owner of Moe's World Famous
Newport Restaurant, home of the Ottawa Chapter of the Elvis Sighting Society.) and I went
to see Shawn Barry, Elvis Clone, in concert, and take it from me: If you never got to
see the real King, this'll do it for you." .... "Barry is blessed with a voice that sounds
naturally and stunningly like Elvis'; he has Elvis' height and build, the right face, the full
head of Elvis-styled hair, he conveys his charisma. His every vocal inflection, every
physical move, every subtle bodily positioning right down to Elvis' pinky fingers is
dead-on accurate; every little nuance is there."

Shawn was the winner of the "1998 Canadian Professional Grand National Champion
Elvis Tribute Artist", which he won at the North American Elvis Tribute Convention in
Collingwood, Ontario in July 1998. He was among 20 finalists at the 1997 and 1998
World's Images of Elvis Competition in Memphis. Shawn was crowned "Elvis 98" &
"Elvis 99" in Montreal, Quebec. In 1996, Shawn won the Ottawa Exhibition "Best
Elvis Impersonator" contest.

Shawn resides in Ottawa Ontario. He began his life-long ambition to be an entertainer
at the tender age of seven, the day Elvis died. It was at this time many realized Shawn
had the voice of the "King". Pursuing his Dream, Shawn blossomed into a great Elvis
impersonator, performing at such places as the Ottawa Civic Centre, and the Ottawa
Congress Centre. He has appeared in other Ottawa locations such as the Chateau
Laurier, Barrymore's, and in the Cumberland Town Hall Theatre; and in Quebec at
the Chateau Montebello.

Shawn has performed with Legends Alive, a group performing out of Toronto. He's
been interviewed and sang on radio stations CHEZ 106, W1310, Y105 and CBC.
Shawn has been featured on television with CBC, CTV and the New RO newscasts.
He has performed for such charities as Muscular Dystrophy, Cancer Society, CHEO
Foundation, the H.O.P.E. Beach Volleyball Tournament, and Kiwanis. Shawn has
just returned from a two week overseas booking in Bosnia, where he was part of a
show tour to entertain the peacekeeping troops.
