Today I felt lost and confused,

when my dreams seemed bruised.

Today I felt dim and weak,

for my perspective fell so steep.

Today I gathered myself once more,

and went back to the studying bore.

Today again I felt the pain,

for not being a genius brain.

Today I got into the same frame,

about being a thoughtless dame.

How things around me affect me.

I go from being happy to feeling not good enough.

I try not to think of the uncertainties that face me, 

for nothing changes by thinking endlessly about, ' what's going to be'.

Still every now and then this blue comes over me,

and no matter how hard I try, I can't be free.

It's another v-day, and among all this inescapable hype,

I force myself not to think of the stereotype. 

The radio plays these songs, which bring a tear in my eye.

Oh what do I do, where should I go to find some peace in this stormy heart of mine.

On these empty stressful days,

I often wonder how my life will pay.

For there are many dreams and many fantasies

that I would like to see sway.

I get impatient thinking about all that I wish to accomplish,

and all that I hope will come my way.

I pray the reality will be pure and be as joyous as my

imagination has created with all its play.
