I could stare at the stars for eternity
Just knowing you're somewhere close
But then reality hits me
And that's when I miss you the most.
And whenever I see the sunset
I imagine you're seeing it too
But in your part of the world, it's just rising
So I realize that couldn't be true.
I guess all I can do is be thankful
That whoever set us so far apart
Is the One who put us together
Forever in each others hearts
Although we might not share the sunsets
And the stars we may not be able to see
I know we're bonded in another way
And that's the most important thing.
I may not feel your body against me
But I can feel you touching my soul
