1. All Teams will be mixed
A. At least 2 women/men per team
B. Minimum of 6 active players (play 25% of the season)
C. Maximum of 8 players
D. 9 games of 701 straight in double out
E. Games are to be played Tuesdays and are to start at 7:30pm
F. Players will be rotated fairly each game
2. If only 3 players are available, a dummy score of 26 will be scored for the fourth player until 100 is reached, then will be discontinued and players will rotate normally. If less than 3 players than it’s a forfeit and the other team will receive all 9 points.
3. Score sheet will be filled out in full no arrows except in the case where you only have 3 or 4 players then arrows will be accepted, all players playing that night and team names are to be included on the sheet. Please make sure the sheet is readable. Also all high scores and high checkouts and 180’s if they are not on that sheet they do not count. No Exceptions.
4. Results of each Tuesday’s games (score sheets) will be dropped off at the COURTENAY LEGION (box near the sign in book) NO LATER THAN THURSDAY NOON for inclusion in next weeks paper for the previous weeks results. Home teams are responsible for turning in score sheets. If sheets are not turned in by the following Tuesday then all points will go to away team and all high scores, high checkouts and 180’s will be forfeited.
5. A member must be present and play 50% of the season in order to qualify for a keeper trophy.
6. Changing teams only by mutual consent of both teams and executive approval. Also no new players will be added to a team after 14 weeks without executive approval.
7. All postponed games will be rescheduled by captains of both teams, 24 hours notice for postponed games or all points will be forfeited unless due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Maximum of 3 weeks to make up games. Let the statistician know of postponement and also of date for make up game.
8. A player of the opposite sex must play in every game. In regular league play as well as playoffs. If you are not able to get a mixed team together for that night then the night may be postponed on short notice.
9. ANY DISCREPANCIES in any aspect should be written on the complaint sheet and put in the box with that weeks score sheet. Please include names of all players involved as well as both team names and all details.
10. If adding or replacing a player or have a player leaving please notify the statistician and pay dues for the new player regardless if they are replacing someone on the team.
11. When you are chalking please have courtesy for the shooter do not put your face in front of the board or move around. Be as still as possible. If you are chalking do not tell the shooter what to shoot at, you can tell them what they have scored and what they have left but not how to check it out. The shooter needs to step back from the toeline and look to his team for someone to let him know what to shoot otherwise nobody can say anything at all. NO YELLING FROM BEHIND THE SHOOTER from either team.
12. At no given time should anyone but the shooter and the chalker be figuring out the score if there is a problem then they need to get the captains or acting captains from both teams to check the score. DO NOT PULL YOUR DARTS FROM THE BOARD UNTIL YOU AND THE CHALKER HAVE AGREED ON THE SCORE. If you pull your darts and you do not agree with the chalker or vise versa then your score will count as zero.
13. When shooting your foot should be behind the toeline at all times. If your foot crosses the toeline at anytime while shooting your score will count as zero and your turn will be forfeited.
14. Any player you consider to be a spare still pays full league fees. There are absolutely no spares in this league.
15. Each team is required to supply a door prize to a minimum of $20.00 (gift or cash) for the annual banquet, either from their sponsors or their team.
16. Each player is subject to a toeline time of 20 seconds with the exception that the player is in the bathroom. Failure to do so will result in a score of 26 being scored in lieu of the turn.
17. NO new teams will be added after the start of the league season. NO EXCEPTIONS.
