For the catagory of Most Dramatic, the following have been nominated: Gabby's Arguement with Zethar Over Mattahew Characters include: Gabby, Zethar Gabrielle and Zethar spar... AGAIN, on account of Mattahew's teacher The Reason Given: These two are ALWAYS fighting, but this is when she truly hates him for it. Sillabub's Capture Characters include: Natasha*, Sillabub, Mirage, Khan Sillabub and Mirage had just found each other and become mates when Natasha saw them and decided that she didn't like that. She kidnapped Sillabub just to spite the relationship. The Reason Given: It was fun to RP and was something different. Zethar's Explanation Character's include: Gabby, Zethar, Troubador Gabrielle and Zethar Spar, with Zethar finally explaining the context to Shadowcat's go while Troub listens in. Reason Given: Mostly the anger that can be felt from this piece. Endy's Secret Character's include: Gabby, Endy* After a big awkward moment proceeding this, -I believe that Endy forgot completely about Gabby when Demeter entered the yard hurt- Endy and Gabby spar. To make up for it, Endy tells Gabby a big secret. (that he's dying) Reason Given: It's a powerful piece. I don't know if you can feel the rage and hurt radiating from the characters, but it certainly felt like it. Chrys Learns Of Her Magical Abilities Character's include: Chrys, Soren*, William I sent in the threads. This is when Chrys first gets her telepathic ability and her illusionary song. Reason Given: I think it's a good cliff hanger, and the way the circumstances pan out... it's an edge of the seat thing. Endy, Gabby, Demeter Love Triangle Character's include: Endymion*, Gabrielle, Demeter Gabrielle falls for Endymion. Endymion thinks Gabby is an amusing young queen and he falls for Demeter. Demeter likes Endymion but is mated with Alonzo. Reason Given: It was well-played among the players whom didn't know how it would turn out themselves. For the catagory of Best Comedy, the following have been nominated: Brigid's First Heat Characters Include: Brigid*, Troubador, Calais [?], Nebula, Misto, Skimble, Grizabella, Little Skimbie, Amie [Saved on the Cat Tales Page - Brigid's First Heat] Brigid goes into heat for the first time, and Troub isn't old enough to know what's going on. He keeps describing her as "stinky!", while she's attracting a stranger! He's suave and sophisticated, Little Skimbie offers to bash him in - Skimbleshanks and Misto come over to Protect the Little Queen's innocence! Poor tom really pours it on, Troub decides he doesn't like him, Skimble hangs the tom upside down while trying to have Misto zap him with lightning. Nebula shows up during this time, and poor Brigid goes over to her wondering how come all these toms suddenly start acting weird! No-one wants to tell either Troub OR Brigid what's going on until Griz mentions about heat and it's suddenly clear to them. Skimble manages to convince the tom to leave! Reason Given: It was SOOOOO funny to RP through, and I think all the players themselves had tears rolling down their eyes because of the way everyone reacted - Troub's confusion at her "stink"; Brigid wondering about the toms; Neb's reaction; Misto and Skimble hanging the tom upside down. :o) Setting Up Pairs Characters Include: Shadowcat* [in the beginning], Afra, Sillabub Shadowcat tried to set Afra up with Silla, but Afra had come on the mission to find his best friend Damia, whom he wants to be his mate. Reason Given: It was HILARIOUS!! Hide and Seek Characters Include: Terossa, Troubador, Ally, Sarai, Shadowcat, Similyn Terossa was staying at Nick and Sim's. She and the two young queen kittens started playing "Hide and Seek". Shad and Troub come over to visit. Terossa almost runs over Troub while chasing them. Troub joins the game while Shad and Sim sit on the couch talking. The game ends with Troub getting the kitchen sink turned on over his head since he had used his "shadowing" to hide. Reason Given: Several funny lines and incidents.... I remember laughing so hard I had tears running down my face while we played. For the catagory of Most Romantic, the following have been nominated: Gabby & Endy's Moment Alone Characters Include: Gabby, Endymion Gabby and Endymion have a few moments to themselves. We learn of Endy's supposed feelings for Gabby. Reason Given: I got tired of nominating things for Most Dramatic. JUST KIDDING! It's romantic because it's so sincere and that there's always something holding them back. Soren Troi Loves Chrys Characters Include: Chrys, Soren, William We learn Soren's special secret (That he loves Chrys! whoo hoo! I know, I'm going on a rampage) Reason Given: It's SWEET! Chrys and Soren finally break their feelings to the other. Chrys and Soren Captured Characters Include: Chrys*, Soren, Guard Chrys and Soren have a heart to heart. I've sent in the threads. Reason Given: It's just a sweet couple who need each other while being cooped up at Macavity's. If someone had been following the storyline with those two, it's a heart pounder. Paladyr and Andria Characters Include: Paladyr*, Andria [Threads are saved in the Cat Tales Page.] Paladyr meets a queen named Andria. He keeps her in his labyrinth and they eventually fall in love admist many obstacles in their paths. Reason Given: It was well-played out and very touching to do. For the catagory of Best Action, the following have been nominated: Chrys' Father Characters Include: Chrys*, Cepheus, Orlene, William, Demeter, Soren, Macavity It's when Chrys's father finally finds her after looking, and manages to get her out of the saftey of the mansion. She ends up hiding behind Macavity, which was entirely the wrong way to go. Soren on the other hand went after her- his first time out of the mansion. Reason Given: It's a very panicky piece. Macavity's Surprise Characters Include: Macavity, Demeter*, Reubus, Gareth, William William comes into the yard and talks to Gareth, but soon Demeter has her hackels up becuase it wasn't William! It was Macavity! Everything was tense for awhile until Macavity finally left. Reason Given: It was well played and surprised everyone. For the catagory of Scariest, the following have been nominated: Demeter in Heat Characters Include: Demeter*, Macavity, Gareth Demeter went into heat and Macavity came upon her in this state. She tries to avoid being with him. Gareth came in and seems interested in Demeter (because she was in heat) until Macavity runs her off. Then Macavity chases after her and hypnotizes her into thinking he was Alonzo! The storyline continued on with Demeter not realizing what had happened and thinking that she had become pregnant with Alonzo's kittens. As it turned out, one kittens was Macavity's and the rest were Alonzo's. [Threads on Cat Tales] Reason Given: It was fun to RP out and try to figure out just the right things to say. No one really knew how the outcome would turn out until it was revealed. Dark Soren Character's include: Chrys, Soren*, Macavity Soren encounters his dark side, and Chrys is the only one who can bring him out of it. Reason Given: It's a heart pounder. Poisoning of the Leaders Characters Include: Old Deuteronomy, Troubador, Shetan*, Ally, Sarai, William, Gareth, Soren Troi, Chrys This storyline started out with Soren Troi and Chrys giving a prophecy showing Old D dying and Troubador sick. His prophecy comes true when Old Deut is poisoned and soon Troubador is poisoned as well. William and Sarai try to help but could do nothing. It finally ended when Shetan appeared and told them why he poisoned Old Deuteronomy and Troubador. He was captured and Soren and William were able to get him to tell them the antidote for the poisoning. Reason Given: It affected nearly the whole yard and was played out over time. Soren's Introduction Characters Include: Chrys, Soren*, William I have sent a thread of this, but it's basically Chrys and Soren meeting for the first time. Reason Given: Even shadowcat says it was creepy, so I thought it would be a good idea. For the catagory of the Most Original, the following have been nominated: Chrys' Special Secret Characters Involved: Chrys*, Demeter Chrys and Demeter relax after a few weeks excitement, and we learn Chrys's special secret Reason Given: It's a cute piece. It's not exactly comedy, but it's not impacted either. IT's very lighthearted, and the player and I were doing it out of our heads so.. yeah. Demeter's Odd Dream Characters Include: Demeter* [threads are saved on the Cat Tales Page] Demeter dreams of an odd place where odd things happen. Reason Given: It was fun to post and interesting to read! Truth About Desdemona Characters Include: Desdemona*, Demeter, Endymion, Macavity [threads are saved on the Cat Tales Page] Admist a cacaphony of emotions, Endymion forces Desdemona to tell Demeter the truth while Macavity is there. Desdemona is Demeter's mother and had tried to kill her kittens long ago. Reason Given: It'a great storyline and well-played out! It was lots of fun to RP! For the catagory of the Most Impact, the following have been nominated: Shadowcat going to Heaviside Layer Characters Indicated: Shadowcat, Old Deuteronomy*, Mattahew, Grizabella, Amie, Gabrielle, Troubador, Gareth, Similyn, Nick-Ko-Las, most everyone at the Ball and a few who weren't! Old Deut chose Shadowcat to go to the Heaviside Layer, and all the impact that had on everyone. [Threads are saved at the Cat Tales 2000 Ball] Reason Given: HUGE impact on several storylines - plus it was such a shocker for everyone! *grin* The Takeover of the Yard Characters Include: Morrigan, Diavlo*, Brigid, Minstrel, Similyn, Troubador, all of the cats in the Yard Diavlo hypnotizes Morrigan, after capturing Brigid and holding her to get to Morrigan. He brings out Morrigan's bad side, which he then uses against the Yard and takes over for about a week! She captures Similyn, Demeter, Sillabub and many other members of the yard and holds them in cages! It was during this time that Minstrel brought together Old D and Troubador, and Troubador took on the mantle of Jellicle Leader, and eventually lead the charge to take back the Yard. Brigid was the one who eventually caused Morrigan to come back to herself - only to find that Minstrel wouldn't trust her again. Disillusioned, Morrigan left. Reason Given: The Takeover of the Yard was shocking - and the fact that it stayed that way for over a week was an accomplishment! It intruded on everyone's storyline at the time, and caused Troub to assume leadership. Major changes! Gabby Bites Zethar's Head Off Characters Include: Troubador, Gabby, Zethar Gabrielle realized that Zethar had a go with her aunt, and decides to bite his head off for it. Reason Given: I thought the anger was well played, and Zethar... OOOH HE'S SUCH A CREEP IN THESE THREADS! (sorry shad...) Loky's Goodbye Characters Include: Loky*, Chrys Chrys and Loky, dear friends, say goodbye Reason Given: It's a powerful improvisation. It shows the bonds of just how far a friend is willing to go. Natasha's Arrival Characters Include: *Natasha, Khan, Similyn, Nick-Ko-Las, Their kittens, Shadowcat, Grizabella, and more. Natasha arrives in the yard pretending to be a friend and looking for a distant cousin. She then ends up capturing friends and relatives of Similyn because she felt that Similyn's family had taken away her birthright. Reason Given: This storyline impacted a number of cats and storylines and was fun to RP out.
