EQSTUFF
Right now work is slow, we have transitioned most of our duties over to MCI and now I am the go between for any of Nasa's Teleconference Users, who seem to still be having problems working with MCI... Really boring stuff, so I usually spend my time, working on web pages reading my java book... Hopefully you will see some Java on the page soon.. dunno though...
I'll try to update this page more, but as you probably know.. I've said that before =)
Good to say something here finally...
Ok, so it has been more than 5 months since I have even updated this page =) I've been working hard on another webpage called Eqstuff.. It is a page for the game mentioned below.. if you get bored, go take a look... Probably won't interest you much, unless you play Everquest... and if you don't already.. DON'T... IT IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE... but besides that.. it is a great game...

As you can see.. it has been awhile since I've updated the page... hmm.. I wish I could say I've been busy doing important things... well, some things, have been.. but the other has been EVERQUEST! argh!!! Highly addictive game.. I've also been working on my house.. curtains, cleaning, fixing, arranging, looking for closets.. trying to figure out how to fit into the attic.. and other such goodies.. I would say that I'm going to start updating the page more.. but don't get your hopes up... =) I will when I get a chance.. I should be starting school soon, so that will give me a good excuse to update... I'll talk with you soon, and I hope you enjoy the new festive summer colors!

Lot of stuff going on in my life right now... Been working alot these past couple of weeks... I have a new girlfriends(Check out the "Ruggby's" pics and look for Chris to see a pic of here (what a hottie =) Just put down a deposit on a new house that I'll be moving into on the 12th of March... And I can't wait!!! Not much else going on... Haven't really gone out much lately... been content sleeping =) oh well.. pretty soon.. I might have more free time... I'd really like to start working more on my page... I have a few new ideas that I would like to try.. nothing much... just some eye candy.. anyways.. I'll talk with yall later...

Well, I'm feeling better, i guess.. But i still feel like crap... If it keeps up.. I guess I'll go see Doctor Giggles tomorrow... I don't really like doctors to much.. I guess that spawns from growing up with one all my life.. and when I was sick.. as a kid I didn't go to a doctor unless it was serious... So I don't go to the doctor much now.. I've been like twice in about 5 years... One time was to get my Wisdom teeth removed, and the other was because I'd been sick for about 2 weeks, and figured I'd better go get some Medicine or something... Well will all the free time I had today, I updated my page... so I guess I wasn't completely useless today.. I add stuff to almost every page.. execpt for a few pages I plan to get rid of... I think I'm going to combine the Music, Video, and books pages.. I changed the format for the Pics pages.. I hope it is easier to navigate... If you have any ideas or you want to see something on my pages that aren't there.. let me know...

Wanna hear some irony? I'm sick! ARGH! (read below 2/2/99 to see the irony) Anyways.. don't know what I have.. I thought it would be the same thing everyone else I know at work has gotten.. but I haven't coughed once.. and they all said that is what started first with them.. the coughing that is... I just feel like complete crap.. My head is all fogged up.. I have a sinus infection I know.. which is causing me a sore throat.. Or it may be Strep(sp?) throat... and so I took today off, to see if I could force myself to get better.. so I don't have to spend all week out of work.. DOH! anyways.. everybody send me some chicken noodle soup!!! Oh well.. see ya soon!

It's weird to me... how some people work.. or don't work.. I don't know what you want to call it... Where I work.. It seems there is almost always someone out of work.. like 3 outta 5 days a week someone is gone.. and when there are only 8 people to begin with... that's scary to me... We have a very liberal sick leave policy.. and the regular leave policy isn't much different... For instance, today, one lady who works here.. Got upset.. so she left for the rest of the day.. because she was mad.. What the hell is up with that? I'm mad, so I'm not going to work.. My god.. That makes me think of when I was in middle-school and seeing kids act like that... I guess I need to start taking more days off =) just kidding.. I don't like missing work.. it makes me feel like crap, so even if I skipped outta work for a day or something.. It wouldn't be worth it... and I'm really never sick.. I come down with bronchitus(sp?) like once a year.. But I've already been through that... I had to get my Wisdom Teeth taken out.. So I was out for a day for that... And now, even if I need to take a day off.. my back up for the night shift, doesn't really know what they are doing.. So I'd feel guilty for that... ACk! Don't get me wrong.. I love my job, and it really isn't that hard.. It gets busy sometimes, but bartending/waiting tables cured me really feeling pressure... I don't think any job could get me in "the weeds" to easily after those experiences... I miss bartending.. Call me a freak, but It was never boring.. there was always something to do... And showtending was a blast... My friends still get me to make drinks for them at parties, but it's not quite the same... I guess I'll have to get some rubber mats to carry around with me so, I can toss some bottles around =) And I always feel bad when I see Matt cleaning up the crap I spill on the floor.. DOH! I definately won't be tossing bottles over the carpet(wink, wink)... anyways.. its almost 10:30 and I'm still at work.. So, I'm getting outta here... Peace out fol-keys...

This month just plain sux.. All I can think about the whole month of February is Valentine's day... What a pathetic waste of a Holiday.. all designed to empty every pocket of every guy... What other use is it? Cupid? I think he's off duty.. Or at least he's been avoiding me.. I think my skull is to thick for his dinky arrows.. oh well... Shall I go on? Ok.. I will... What's up with the roses? Aren't they getting kinda old? I mean, 2 weeks later(if not less) they're dead.. And I think it's funny that around V-DAY the price of roses goes up like 10-fold.. give me a break! What are they just on sale the rest of the year? And the idea of buying chocolate.. Sheesh.. Yeah, that's what all the girls I've ever dated wanted.. was chocolate... ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME FAT!!!! Screw it.. That's why I buy Heart Shaped Rice cakes now... But then I guess you get the.. AM I FAT OR SOMETHING!!!! DOH! hmm.. Ok, i'll take you out to dinner... ACK! NO! Don't do it! V-day is the busiest day in any restaraunt... You had better have some reservations... You could cook dinner.. but you had better be a good cook.. otherwise you are screwed.. My personal suggestion is to just go ahead and split your veins, and spend the time in the Hospital..

MUAHAHAHA!!!! IT'S COMING! SO YOU HAD BETTER HIDE!! Hmm.. I don't really know if all this crap about Y2K is necessary.. Personally.. I'd love a good excuse to go camping for a week or two.. It'd be great =) I hope my computer is Y2K compliant, and the server that this page is on, or in about 11 months you might not get an update for awhile =) We'll see though.. That's kinda the attitude I have right now.. "We'll See".. It's kinda like dying.. except everyone will find out what happens before they die.. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE BANK!!! There's the problem with Y2K.. Everyone freaks out, cause they think the banks are going to go to Hell in a Handbasket.. but, come on, these banks are all Y2K compliant now.. NO FEAR.. except for all the morons taking thier money out of the bank... But even if they do.. I don't think it will be all that bad, if people put their money back in right aftwards... I pray that the US doesn't print more money like the rumors I've heard.. Dear god, can you imagine the inflation then? Jeez.. can you imagine if all the pace makers in the world weren't Y2K compliant.. now that WOULD suck... It'd help medicare, and Social security... but it would really mess up anyone spending time in the Hospital that day.. That is if those electric doors on the Hospitals are Y2K compliant.. otherwise it wouldn't really matter.. anyways.. All I really wanted to spew out about Y2K is the fact that.. there is nothing to worry about.. Just get a gun, fresh water, and some bread.. hunker down somewhere.. and get over it..
BTW: NEXT YEAR WON'T BE THE MILLINIUM!!!! It's the one after that =) I'm really sick of all the millinium stuff out already.. I mean.. come on.. Wal-mart stocks for the next holiday a few months in advance, and I think that is a little to soon.... a few years ahead and I feel like going postal.. SHEESH!

Well,(doesn't seem like I start out like that alot?) let's
start with my computer... It's working for the most part...
The cd-writer still isn't working correctly, but the virus
is gone, and the computer runs.. that's about as much as you
can ask for right now =)
Women.. um.. got a date Sunday... but that's about it..
I don't see much happening with this girl.. but I might as
well give it a chance..
Weekends... aye, yi, yi... to few and far between, that's how
they are going... friday starts late.. sunday ends early..
sumptin' is wrong with that.. A group of us were going to
go down the B'ham for the weekend... but Friday.. A tornado
saw to detour us from going(except Glenn.. who is down there
right now.. sorry man)Chip and I couldn't get anyone else to
go down, I need an oil change, and I need to balance my tires..
So.. I didn't really feel like driving... (note to self:
fix shit like that during the week, so as not to hinder my
few weekends>.. noted) it's Saturday night.. and we might
go to crossroads to see a band called "Vallejo".. I think

Well, My computer is dead again, for now... Hopefully I can figure out what is wrong with it soon, because it is really starting to drive me crazy... I think I cleared the virus, but since there is nothing on my computer anymore.. I can't really tell.. and since I'm having a hard time getting my stupid computer to recognize my CD-ROM drive... It has been kinda hard installing Win-blows... ARGH!!! ACK!!! The In-humanity of it all!!! Oh well.. I'm sure I'll get it fixed soon!
In other news.. Monday night when I got back from Florida, my friends took me out for a night on the town! We had a great time... Even if Sammy doesn't work there anymore
(1/17/99) Happy Birthday to... ME!
Well, aren't I lucky! I made it to another one.. Last year was a good one for me.. I met a great group of people, I got a good job, moved into a better apartment(working on the roomate thing still, sheesh, i thought the third time was the charm.. i guess not) Working on College... And i've been a relative non-smoker for 17 days now.. Had a few coffin nails, but nothin' to get in a twist over... I can only hope that next year is as good as the past year... Ok, and NOW, my thoughts on "My Birthday"... I HATE IT! just kidding I love it, but I really wish that I could make my birthday kinda like X-mas.. you know.. where we all exchange presents =) I am the worst at GETTING gifts.. I know people are probably like me.. Thinking stuff like "I hope he likes it!" but for me.. I could care less if you just gave me a hug.. that Is present enough for me.. Wanna hear a funny story about my 21st birthday? if you don't I'd skip the next lines.. anyways.. here it goes...:
There I was.. Just turned 21, and.. wait let me set the mood first... For the past year.. the people I had been hanging out with(A great bunch of guys, we just grew apart over the years.. I still run into them and I love each and everyone of them), and who had been hanging out with me =) the whole previous year, we had been throwing everyone Surpise Birthday parties... I love doing that =) and Here it was, coming up to my birthday... and another one of my friends birthday was coming up the next weekend, so he was coming into town, so we could celebrate our birthdays together... hahahaha.. anyways on with the story... Here we were, Me, Beau, and Brance, riding around.. for what reason you ask? So did we... "Beau! Why are we just riding around?" we asked, and Beau said, "Why so everyone can get ready for the Surpise party!".. OF COURSE!(Beau wasn't about to try and keep this a secret.. he's no good at that!)anyways.. so we go bowling for a bit.. Beau calls a great many times to Meg's apartment, to see how the party was shaping up... then we go get ready for the party ourselves(remember, I was 21 now.. WOO HOO! all down hill from their, SIGH) So we go buy beer of course... and have a few.. while Beau drives, and drives, and drives... FINALLY, Beau says that they must be ready by then... So here we go! Getting our "Beau didn't tell us Jack, We're surpised" - faces on.
We pull up to Meg's apartment.. both of us were getting excited, and we walked to the door... Beau Knocks, and winks at us... No answer.. hmm.. Knock... No answer... KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! No answer.. hmm.. what.. hmm.. AH!!! OH! I guess we're supposed to barge in, cause they are all hiding.. all 5000 of our friends.. trying to hide behind anything.. the couch, in the kitchen, behind plants, under dogs.. on top of cats... and my favorite... in the bed room(wink, wink), so we do.. Barge in! Brance, and I get ready for the shock of the Thunderous, "SURPISE!!!!!!"

Boy these guys are bad at timing... they're still hiding.. sheesh.. whoa! except meg.. she's trying to hide a present from us.. um, no.. that's a pillow she's hiding.. hmm... There she was.. half asleep on the floor.. wait i take that back.. she WAS asleep on the floor!!!! ACk!
Where was everyone?
We woke up Meg, and she told us that Somebody called, and Vicki ran out the door to go see whoever it was, and hadn't come back yet... and Beau started telling us of all the other "Friends" who had either gone out of town, or were presently out of town, and couldn't make it back... Well, brance and I had a case of beer between the two of us.. that was a fine..
THEN, the phone rings.. brance and I give the ol' sideways look.. Something must be going on.. Then the other shoe drops... Vicki is really upset, and Meg's gotta go see her... She says we are welcome to stay there and drink, but that she probably wouldn't be back anytime soon..
So, we leave... Where to go? Beau says that we should just go back to his house and drink... There it was.. Clear as water... It was a double surpise!! Big joke! They were all waiting at Beau's house! It was so simple, why didn't we see it before... Brance, and I get excited now! Whooping and Hollering... and Beau's yelling.. No really! there is no surpise! I'm sorry! and all this stuff, to try and get us to really believe that their was no surpise! HAHAHAH.. whatever Beau! YA-HOO!!!

No party... so.. Brance and I had our party with, Beau, played trivial pursuit with Beau's dad, and Jack came over... You know Jack Daniels... well he didn't last long.. and when brance and I got down with him.. we left him all over Beau's lawn(not a pretty sight)...
But I have got to say.. how disappointed we were.. It was one of the best birthday's I've had... At the time.. these were two of my best friends.. and That is who I spent my birthday with.. =)

I'm in the Sunshine State right now.. My folks moved down here about 4 years ago.. and I don't get to come down here near enough to visit them, so This is good =) but look at me.. I'm on the computer.. har har.. i've been updating my brother's band page, which I do for them.. take a look if you get bored "www.angelfire.com/al/juicenet"... so I decided to hop over here, and update mine while I was at it =) We came down here yesterday(my brother, my sister-in-law, and me)and we are staying until monday afternoon, then coming home.. with a brief stop off and my dad's house in Birmingham... So it looks like it is going to be a busy weekend.. I will probably jump back on tomorrow, and let you folks know what plans I have for my birthday.. I heard talks of going out to eat, or eating steak here.. =) sounds good to me either way.. to bad my brother is a Vegetarian.. oh well! Can't wait to see all my friends at home.. (1/7/99) Virus
Ok.. this sux.. I have a Virus on my computer, called, THE RIPPER! Who the hell names these things? And couldn't they think of a cooler name? The sad thing is, that this is the second time I have gotten this exact same virus.. And I chalk it up to complete stupidity, or just being lazy, on my part... The first time that I got the virus.. I neglected to clean all my disk(you know after cleaning 100 or so disk, you start getting sick and tired, of it) so I put them in a box, and told myself(hahahaha) that I wouldn't use those, until I cleaned them.. well, that was like 3 years ago(DOH!) and after moving 2 or 3 times.. I forgot which box was which(wouldn't it have been cool of me to mark it.. or you know.. CLEANED THEM!) Oh well.. you learn from your mistakes.. Or atleast your supposed to... Something else funny about the whole virus thing is that I got a cold at the same time.. Maybe I'm around my computer a little to much, or don't use enough protection when I'm around my computer =)

Wow, I thought It wouldn't be hard, to quit smoking that is, and the first day.. it really wasn't that bad... Then, the second day! ACK! I wanted to kill someone.. no.. I wanted to kill EVERYONE!!! but then the next day.. it was much easier.. And now.. I barely even think about smoking.. I'm kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop, cause it just can't be this easy.. Don't get me wrong.. if they found evidence(real evidence) that smoking was not harmful in any way shape or form.. Well, I'd start back tomorrow.. but with the $2.00 that has been added on so far, and the fact that I have a hard time running from here to there without feeling like shit.. well.. those days are over! Now all I have to do is stop eating stuff before I go to sleep at night =) I hope everyone has as much success as I'm having with the smoking...

Hmmm.. well it seems to be that time for me... AGAIN... I can't seem to get my butt in gear and go register, sign-up, and whatever you have to do to get that stupid piece of paper that says I know more than the average schmoe... Anyways.. I'm headin' back to School.. about 5 yrs later than when I should have graduated in the first place... I'm actually kinda excited.. I don't really care about getting a degree.. But, while I'm there I might as well get it.. The Modern Day high-school diploma is what I call it.. I mean think about 20 yrs ago, when A College degree, all but gauranteed you a great job.. and a High School Diploma was a ticket to a decent job... but know it seems that, the BS is almost exactly that.. BS.. When I was bartending, I knew several people who had graduated with Engineering degrees, and were looking for jobs.. WTF?! But that's not the point.. =) If you are presently going to UAH, the old guy with the walker and grey hair, will probably be me.. I not really that old, but it feels like it... oh well.. I'll save that for next month... I've got a lot to say lately, so keep coming back here more often.. or don't.. I don't really know why anyone would read this crap anyways.. Seeya round the grown-up block.. Maybe we can run-over someone like Katie(sp?)

ARGh!!!! I'm a male, what can i say.. I just don't understand you women.. but
atleast I try.. Doesn't that count for something? of course not... *Sigh* oh
well... Ok.. here's the problem.. and maybe it's just that I'm getting old..
or to old.. All the women i meet these days.. ARE TAKEN!!!! Sheesh.. Take for
instance.. i met this girl the other night.. and oh my god! I was swept off my
feet.. She was gorgeous.. funny.. intelligent.. didn't annoy me.. and I'd
rather be doing something with her than playing Team Fortress!!!! OMFG! but
then the shoe drops.. She's taken.. and i don't mean on a small time
boyfriend/girlfriend crush thingie that we all go through to many times in or
stupid pathetic lives... like a 40 billion year relationship.. probably just
waiting for the day for them to get married... Another girl that I have had
a thing for for years decides that the only way she can stand being around me
is to be drunk.. Am i that bad? Another lives in a different city, and we
both hate talking on the phone, so that pretty much annilates that one.. oh well
I guess I just need to accept the fact that I'm going to be a hermit, and move
to an isle out in the middle of the ocean, where at least I won't have to
worry about this crap...

Not going to spend much time on this.. I hate Clinton.. and I can't say that I agree with all the tactics used against him... he asked for it, he deserves it, and as a Great Nation... WE DESERVE BETTTER!!!! There are a couple of things that bother me the most about all the hoopla... 1. Everyone is more upset that he lied, and not that he cheated on his wife. 2. I haven't seen one woman call him a sleeze for cheating on his wife. Now either they all know that Hillary is a Lesbian, and it doesn't matter to her, but oh well at least keep up the front for the children of this country's sake.. 3. Kenneth Starr.. Why is he getting blasted? He did his job, he didn't go outside the lines of the job description.. and people say that Judge Starr has wasted the tax payers money... WHAT?!?!? Clinton is the reason our country wasted money. Because he lied and we had to investigate it.. and is little WAG the Dog escapade that not only KILLED many people, but innocent people... No one is talking about the fact that they bombed a pharmaceutical(sp?) company... Great now the country can't even make medication for their people.. SHEESH.. double blow.. now some kid is going to be dying from a treatable illness because he can't get medication... all due to Clinton trying to re-direct the countries focus.. I believe that fact in itself means he should leave our country.. I think he is a down-right sleezy b@#$%rd and should leave... =)
(09/06/98) The Web Browser WAR!
WTF is going on? Why can't IE and Netscape get their act together? So many times, I have to change half of what I do on my pages to cater to the needs of one or the other.. I finally had to say "Screw it!".. Some of my pages look better in one or the other.. I mean come on.. Why can't they work together or something? BOTH THE PROGRAMS ARE FREE!!!!! It's not like they are making any money because I make my pages to use one or the other.. So why not create a browsers that can accept all the differences.. For instance: some of you may see that blinking, and some of you might not.. It depends on what browers you are using.. BOTH of the major web browser companies keep making new releases, and my browser(i don't care what version I use) still crashes!! Fix the bugs if your going to make a new release.. I mean, come on! Why do I have to mention IEisms or Netscapisms at all.. Their are just to many things that don't work the same in either browser.. Sounds, colors, backgrounds, and links.. just to name a few.. The day when a company comes out with a browser that views ALL pages the same no matter what HTML you use.. then I'll be sold..

Why do certain people like one type of music, and other people like some other types of music? I think it has alot to do with what we grow up with. And how much people are willing to accept. I mean have you ever had a friend that just wouldn't like some band or song because of his/her preconceptions of it? I know when I was younger I listened to mostly the Dead Milkmen, Dead Kennedy's and other punk bands at the time. Now I listen to more stuff like Toad the Wet Sprocket, Ben Fold's Five, Marcy Playground, Better than Ezra.. Which is alot mellower than my old tastes.. I think there are a few main things you get from music that make it a good song, "Lyrics" "Melody" "Beat".. I like to be able to sing a song(even if I mess all the words up), and that is why I don't like many songs by Phish.. they are mostly jams, and I can't sing with them... I like the band "Live" because they are masters(IMO) of building a song.. starting it from just a soft driven song, into something that makes you want to jump up and down, and look stupid :)

I mean come on.. you have a 10 year old trash can, smelly beat up and you just want to get rid of it... So, what do you do? You put it out on the street... Then what happens? The Trash Collector thinks your an idiot, because you forgot to put the trash in the can... Oh well.. maybe we'll figure this one out soon!
