Welcome to the PvP Forum.

We though we'd put this up to discuss some possible changes for PvP in the future. We'd really like to see more people taking part in PvP, and figure there needs to be some changes for that to happen.

Back when Tallon Zek first came up, over 5000 people jumped on the server at once to start playing. That lead to Vallon Zek coming up as well. Clearly, many people were interested in playing PvP, but left for one reason or another. Only recently have the numbers on the teams servers been increasing, and this may have been due to people just looking for a lower server population.

I've played PvP since the day the Baby Zek's opened, and really enjoy it.

Here's a few interesting ideas I've seen:

1. Experience loss on all deaths. Pro: Would give naked mage/monks something to lose. Would open some strategies that are currently illegal (e.g. Snare the kiting druid). Con: Raises some harassment issues with zone/bindpoint camping.

2. Binding in city-only for all classes. Pro: Should cut down on bind-rushing. Con: Might upset casters a bit.

3. "Sick and Tired". Make people come back from death with the "Ressurection effect". Roughly 50% hitpoints and zero mana. Pro: Should eliminate the remainder of bind-rushing. Con: Would be a pain for people who are fighting PvE at the time.

4. Changing loot to coin-only. Pro: Should make melee classes feel more at ease. Con: Could make it very difficult for people to obtain items from unfriendly areas.

5. Changeing loot to any item, in bag or otherwise. Though I still think the casters come out on top of this one, I believe there is a pretty large technology hurdle that has to be overcome for this to be possible.

6. /CON. Making so that anyone above the level limit cons RED, anyone below cons GREEN, and anyone in it cons WHITE/BLACK.

I'll be reading the posts on this board and will comment as I can. Right now we are just on a fact finding mission to determine where people want to go. After we've beaten everything to death for a while I'll make a hotlist and take it to the developers.
