My Only Brother

I only have one brother. I have found it hard to write about my brother only for the simple fact that I have not had a real close relationship with him or his family like I have with my sisters and their families. I wonder is it because I am older than him and never travelled in the same circles. Is it because he is male? I really don't know the answer, I only know that I love him and wanted to include him in my pages about my family. After all he is part of it, and he has agreed to my including this site.
My brother was named after our great great grandfather, Calloway Patton Roller. He has, since he was little, gone by the name C.P. When he first started school and was asked his name, the teacher didn't believe him when he told her C.P. That's what he thought his name was!! Calloway is a nice name, unusual but nice. Why we never called him that I do not know. My mom did teach our parakeet though to say "Where's Calloway?"
My brother and his family moved from Chetwynd quite a few years ago and built a new home on an acreage. Now you have heard of 'Old McDonald's Farm'. His place fits the description and they have it all! They are happy and that is what counts.
Here is a picture of my brother and his family taken in Barkerville, B.C. a few years ago. It is an old gold mining town that has been turned into a Provincial Park and you can get your photo done there in a theme of your choice. They don't look quite like the nice family above, do they?

'I don't think I wanna mess with this bunch!'
