Anne: How does it feel, this is your third gold and that is pretty spectacular
Lisa: I'm really overwhelmed actually. You know your always surprised and I'm just so thankful. I've had a lucky run and you can't express how thankful you actually are without it sounding really naff, but I'm incredibly lucky. I was in fantastic company and I'm going to sit at home next year and watch someone else win. I'm just going to sit at home next year and watch it and I'm going to have my bug fluffy socks on and my big chocolate and I'm going to be the slob I usually am.
Anne: Your not saying your feeling a bit greedy are you?
Lisa: I am feeling a bit greedy tonight but Blue Heelers has been incredibly sucesssful in so many ways and this is one of the ways with me being so lucky with logies and things and it's been a incredible experience.
Anne: I must say Lisa, the thing about it is you've reached legendary status, Ray Martin has lots of logies, Graham Kennedy, your in very rare company.
Lisa:Mike Walsh came out tonight to accept the Hall of Fame abd I look at these people and I grew up watching them on TV and I have such a feeling about the same thing and its a wonderdul awards night, the logies and I think Andrew Denton made it so much more lively this year and it was fantastic and I can see it kicking into the millenium, which is great.
Anne: Well thats the good thing about it too, the great night but never the less, three gold is a big achievement, by anybodies standards in this business
Lisa: Yeah, I'm lucky that I work on a pretty good show. I think thats probably got a lot to do with it, and the network had been really supoortive.
Anne: And is this the ultimate accolade Lisa?
Lisa: To me it s because I mean, its fantastic to be excepted by your peers, but to be accepted by the public, who you are employed to entertain and you want to entertain. If they can just sit down for one hour every week and watch Blue Heelers and be entertained by it then I'm doing my job and this is just the icing on the cake.
Anne: You mentioned your partner Tim, how important is he to you?
Lisa: in the last couple of yeras he has become more important to me than anything I think. He is so important to my career and future that he's very much important now. He looks after me on a day to day basis and I look after him and it's just a great partnership. and he's terrific
Anne: Abd when your so busy with acting he helps...
Lisa He does. And it makes it so I can go home tonight and not worry
Anne: I heard in a interview you has them in your roof!
Lisa I did because we got broken into and I was a bit worried about the Logies getting stolen because I thought how do you cover Logies on an insurance policy!
Anne: You can't
Lisa: So they're in the roof at the moment
Anne: So you are looking forward to many more years of acting?
Lisa: I hope so
Anne: This is what makes you who you are
Lisa: It was lovely to see Sigrid Thornton in Seachange winning tonight and Rachael Blake, and you kow if I can just keep working in the industry I'm more than happy. I don't think I'll ever have the success in a show which I've had with this, but that doesnt matter because I'll be working and thats fine
Anne: And so back to work in the morning?
Lisa: Back to work tomorrow morning at seven o'clock. I'm going home
Anne: Celebrate and enjoy Lisa McCune and thank you so much for being on 11am
