The present Church of St. Peter stands upon the site where in the beginning of the first century a circus was there.

The Emperor Nero was especially fond of this circus and arranged many spectacles in it,
ironically some even involving persecutions of the early Christians.
In fact the altar is where the crucifixion of Peter is said to stand as if to be the altar of death...of course why not since the Basilica was built upon the literal chambers of the dead.
Preachers gleefuly admit the church is built on the foundations of death or as we say; "the pit" (burials of the dead).
Not a clue to this symbolism or a worry about what this means, they blindly mention these facts without a lick of suspicion.
Let’s review this church of death that Peter founded.
Peter’s idol named Jesus is reported to have taught death as the cessation of our physical life. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. (1Cor. 15:50).
Therefore Jesus kingdom was through the portals of death as opposed or adversary (saw-tawn) to G-d’s Kingdom in Life.
(He taught the curse according to Deut 30:19), he also was the curse in his death according to the NT
Galatians 3:13 "Christ... being made a curse upon us... Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree."
and OT warnings;
To die this way, as we read in (Deut. 21:23), is to become accursed of God.
This Wicked Prince was warned in Ezekiel 28:9-10 that claiming to be G-d he will die a cursed death by the hands of the gentiles.
Now what happens to those cursed of him?
(Psalm 37:22) For such as be blessed of Him shall inherit the Earth;
and they that be cursed of Him shall be cut off.
So basically Jesus is saying follow me (Romans 6:4) all that are cursed of me and be eternal in his kingdom (Colossians 2:12)
(as in eternally dead since his kingdom is in death)
Rev 9:1 the fallen star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.
remember Jesus is the one admitting to having this Key to the abyss in Revelation 1:18.
He’s also always saying salvation is in death and we see his proud proclaimation of being the gate keeper of death:

unto you, none of those who fear death will be saved; for the kingdom of death belongs to those who put themselves to death!"
John 10 :9 {Jesus speaking} I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
Rev 9:2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.
Luke 23:44-45
and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
And the sun was darkened.
Act’s 2:27 and the Apostles creed he descended to hell, means he opened the abyss.
G0D darkens the heavens as he snuffs out his enemy, like in Ezekiel 32:7-8.
We see At the moment Jesus dies in execution, we read:
Luke 23:44-45
“And it was about the sixth hour,
and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened”
Jesus did not admit to being the King of the Jews he admited to being king of the Netherwolrd (death) (Hades)
John 18:33-37 KJV
33Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
34Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
35Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
36Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
37Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king....
Then Jesus gives us very clear language about who he was....that his kingdom was not of this world....and he was sent by the Father to bear witness to the Truth.
Well the truth here is Jesus who descended to hell(acts 2:27) is the king not of this Kingdom on earth in Life but Kingdom of death, Jesus is the gatekeeper of Hades, even admited in Revelation 1:18 where he has the key (to the gates) of death and hell.
The OT only talks about the heavenly kingdom on earth and warns of the Egyptian and Greek death cult teachings of false soul flying life in the underworld (Ezekiel 13).
So we see the Church sets itself as the Messenger (angel) of death as seen in their comments like:
"solution for mankind's dilemma lies in suffering, and through the portals of death"
