• The first dragon hatched was bronze Polenth, who Impressed to David Catarel. (DD 267)
• The first gold Impressed to Tarrie Chernoff. (DD 267)
• Dragons were bio engineered to Impress male to male and female to female. (DD 269)

• Speerleek and whitebulbs can be added to food (in this case, stew) to promote general health and prevent illness. (M 65)

• Pern does have months! See the 'Some terms of interest' section of Moreta (and the other novels, I'd assume). It defines a 'month' as 'four sevendays.'

Healer-type Facts

• Sweatroot is used to help sweat a fever out. (M 68)
• Willowsalic is used in small crystals (then usually made into tea). (M 68)
• An infusion of featherfern is also used to reduce fever. (M 68)
• Aconite, a powdered root, is used for reducing heart palpitations, and is considered a strong drug. (M 68,89)
• Whitethorn, adonis, glovecap, and tansy are other herbs used to reduce heart palpitations. (M 89)
• Tussilago, comfrey, hyssop, thymus, ezob, and borrago are used for coughs. (M 70)
• Influenza didn't kill the Perneses - secondary infections such as pneumonia and other respitory infections did. (M 87)
• Pernese do get colds! (M 137)
• Fellis is given every 4 hours. (M 68)
• Fellis juice is bitter. (M 120)
• Some diseases on Pern include typhus, typhoid, diptheria, and scalatina (scarlet fever). (M 145-146)
• Numbweed is used in wine, along with fellis and a 'euphoric' to make Moreta feel 'disembodied' and to sleep. (M 154)
• The only two places needlethorn grows on the Northern continent are at Ista and Nerat. (M 233)
