Thank you. Wags dog Training, Walking & Grooming consists of two people. Hilary and Corrie. We are both very experienced Vancouver City Dog Pound Volunteers, and enjoy working with dogs and almost any other animal. Hilary has been working with dogs most of her life, starting with training her own dog Hamish 13yrs. ago.(When she was 4) Hilary works well with aggressive* dogs, as well as dogs who are being brought out of abusive families. Corrie works well with dogs who like to learn tricks, and also your average trouble dog.We both have ample experience with many types of dogs.

So... what do we do?
We train, We walk, and We groom. Our goal is to work with your dog in an understanding, loving way, instead of using procedures that are violent, abusive and painful towards your dog. In some cases we might use a form of operant conditioning, which means that we will train your dog by recognizing good behavior and ignoring that which is not. If one recieves attention after doing something bad, they will repeat the action, and if one recieves praise for good behavior, the behavior will be repeated, having a positive effect. We want to avoid hurting your pet in any way possible. * PLEASE DO NOT ASK US TO TRAIN YOU DOG TO BE AGGRESSIVE FOR FIGHTING OR GUARDING!!!!! THIS IS SOMETHING WE STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH!!! |

We also walk your dog, we realize that having a dog can be difficult. Especially when trying to juggle a full time job and your family. Sometimes you just don't have the time to walk your furry friend. We do. Whether it's a one time thing, or a scheduled weekly visit, we can help. Another thing we do is Bathe almost any of your animals. This includes basic hygene aswell. We wash,brush,cut nails,clean ears,eyes,and tear stains,and brush teeth. We are in the process of recieving the training we need to style your dogs hair aswell.
