(11/7/00, 12 p.m. ET) - The Backstreet Boys's new album Black & Blue will not be not released to stores until November 21, but singer Brian Littrell recently revealed to LAUNCH that he has already decided which one of the 13 new songs on the album is his favorite. "My favorite song would be 'Time.' It's a song that I had been working on for a couple of months just in trying to think of a kind of theme song for the album," he said. "It would kind of take us from the beginning up until now--the past eight years. And it was an idea that I had brought down to the Bahamas when we were writing for the album. I had written a portion of the chorus and some verses to it, and I took it to the other guys and we put it together."

"Time" was written by the Backstreet Boys and produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Littrell told LAUNCH that among their many accomplishments as a group, the collaboration with Babyface is particularly special. "We actually got Babyface to produce it, which was a lifelong dream of mine," he said. "Ever since I have been a Backstreet Boy I've always wanted to work with Babyface and have him produce one of our songs, and it was a dream come true for me because it was kind of like we really made it. It was definitely a goal achieved."

In other news, the Backstreet Boys are in New York City today (November 7) to tape a performance to air at 9:30 a.m. ET on CBS's The Early Show. The group is expected to perform its hit songs "Shape Of My Heart," "All I Have To Give," and "I Want It That Way." The taping will take place outside The Early Show studio located on the corner of 59th Street and Fifth Avenue.
