The Audition of a Lifetime!

Source: Yahoo News

The search is on for young men who can sing like 98 degrees or Boyz II Men, dance like Usher or one of the guys from the Backstreet Boys. Open auditions will be held in September and October that will lead to the launch of the international singing and performing careers of five lucky young men.

SunTone Productions is searching in Los Angeles, New York, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Nashville and Orlando to find five young men - singer/dancers with natural or trained talent - who will form a new male vocal pop music group. Conducting open auditions to find suitable vocal group members, similar to the Spice Girls auditions, has only been done in Europe, according to SunTone. The company also is searching for one young woman to replace a singer in an existing international female pop group.

Auditions are open to young men ages 17-to-24 years old. All auditions will begin at 10 a.m. sharp. Call-backs will occur the next day. Three men will be picked from each city to compete in the finals in Fort Lauderdale. In addition, an audition will be held (except in Nashville) to audition women ages 18-to-23 to find a replacement in an existing female vocal group. Anyone who wishes to audition should come with a current photo and resume, comfortable dancing clothes and shoes and have a song ready to perform. (You can bring a cassette or sheet music.)

SunTone Productions AG, a subsidiary of Sunburst Merchandising AG of Germany, (www.sunburst.de), is conducting the auditions. Sunburst is a merchandiser and promoter of concerts, music groups, movies and special events in Europe, including the world famous ``Love Parade.''

The chosen five male members will eventually be placed under long term contract and resettled to Fort Lauderdale. After a period of four-to-five months of rehearsals the yet-to-be-named group will be moved to Germany where the initial product release will take place, prior to the US product release.
