The Rockaway Park Philosophical Society was created to celebrate
the mundane and mock the sublime.
For this reason, The Rockaway Park Philosophical Society savors its celebration
of St Pat's Day because St Pat's Day is not a recognized
legal holiday. St Pat's Day is a rebel's holiday, an occasion not
merely to mock everything English and all pretenders to Anglo-itude
but also to celebrate life.
Thus each St Pat's Day we put away the colors and concerns of
everyday life, this year the pathetic little man called
the voice of courage,
in order to celebrate the ordinary joys of the change of season.
