This is a picture of Oroquieta which is the capital of our province Misamis Occidental. Plaridel is a few miles north along the shore of Iligan Bay.

The ocean inlet is known as Iligan Bay. It is named after the town of IiIgan on the East side. Iligan is a major industrial town and home to National Steel. The very beautiful Hidden Falls is also located just outside of Iligan. Ozamiz has a university and is a major business center. Oroquieta is home to the government buildings. Plaridel is a sleepy little town.

This house was built by an American retired military gentlemen, who's wive's family also live in Plaridel.
