PFA HAPPENINGS

October 2000 Vol. 3

It’s going to be another busy month here at McRae Elementary!  I would like to thank all the PFA moms that helped with the half day pizza sale on September 22!  We had our best sale to date.  We ordered 56 pizzas.  Also, a big thank you to all the volunteers that helped stuff the QSP envelopes and counted, and recounted orders and money.  We are counting on the fund-raiser to help purchase playground equipment, possibly another copier and other items for our school.  If you have any ideas where to spend the money, jot a note to Mr. Dooley or Mrs. Whiddon.  See you around the school!! District PFA Meeting:  I recently attended a wonderful PFA Presidents meeting at Tynes Elementary on Oct. 3, 2000.  It was the first meeting of our county and I have come away with lots of fundraising information as well as helpful hints for making our PFA here very successful.  If you are interested in sitting in on our board meetings please let me or any other board member know.  We love learning new and improved ways of doing things!
