Chapters 7 & 8

"Let's go join the crowd!" Antoinette exclaimed, seeing everyone dancing, fixing the waist of her dress. "Yea, we've been standing here for way too long," Melissa said.

"Okie dokie," I shrugged, even though I don't really enjoy dancing.

"So don't hang up the phone now," Justin sang. All the girls screamed, mostly because of the choreography during that part.

"Why, hello ladies..." someone behind us said. We turned around to see a tall buff guy with unbrushed hair, and half of the bottom of his white stained shirt hanging out of his faded black jeans, and he seemed very drunk. "Ricky!" Antoinette exclaimed, "What the hell are you doing here??"

"Baby, I remember," JC started.

"Why, I'm here for your party, babe!" Ricky slurred and laughed, "Did you forget to invite your little Ricky? Haha, now why don't you introduce me to these sexy chicks that might happen to be your friends?"

"Ugh!" Melissa pushed him, "You know you're not supposed to be here!" He didn't budge.

"Who the hell IS this jerk?" Sherry asked.

"Yea, who?" Michelle wanted to know.

"My ex," Antoinette said in disgust.

"And mine too," Melissa reminded.

"What?" Vivian asked, while Ricky snickered.

"I don't get it either," I said.

"He was going out with me," Melissa said, "But I found out he was dating about five other girls, including Antoinette."

"Oh," we said in unison.

Ricky smirked. Two more guys came up behind Ricky, also in the same condition as he was.

"So tell me what to do now," *N Sync chorused.

"How's it goin', Ricky boy?" one of them slapped Ricky's back.

"Great," he answered, then said to us, "This is Ronny, and the other dope's Jack." Jack gave him a playful punch.

"We don't really care," Michelle crossed here arms.

"Yea, so wipe those smiled off your faces, and get off my family's property!" Melissa pointed at the back gate.

"Whoa," Ricky held up his hands defensively, "We were invited, we accepted an invite, so were're staying 'till the party's over...haha...or longer."

"And I want you back..." the words echoed through the night.

"Oh, no you're not!" Kimberly pushed Ricky, not realizing her strength. This time, he almost fell on top of Ronny, but he managed to keep his balance.

"Stop it Kim!" Jack grabbed her wrist and slapped her.

"Let go of me...you...jerk!" Kimberly used her free hand and slapped Jack's face before he could grab that one too.

"Argh!" Jack furiously yelled in disgust. Kimberly broke free from his grasp and stepped back.

Jack growled and advanced toward her, and in a deep voice, he whispered, "I never paid you back for what you did to me before."

"Jack!" Ricky ordered, "Get back here." Jack hesitated, then walked back, glaring at Kimberly.

I gasped. "You're that ass who stood my sister up!" I pointed at Jack, suddenly remember.

"He's not an ass," Kimberly said, "He's a Jack Ass."

Jack rolled his eyes, "Took ya long enough, sweetcheeks."

"Don't call me that!" I shouted at him.

"What's going on here?" a voice came from the crowd. It was JC, followed by the other four.

"C'mon!" Ricky slurred, "Join the fun!"

"These jerks won't leave us alone," Kimberly said to JC with her arms crossed.

"Oh, come now," Jack said, pulling her close to him, "We were only playing around, right baby?"

"Get off of me!" Kimberly pushed him away.

"No!" Jack pulled her back and forced a kiss.

"Stop!" my sister struggled to slap him.

"Get off of her!" Chris yelled, charging toward Jack, and struggled to pull him off Kimmy.

"Jack let go!" Ricky sternly ordered his friend. Jack reluctantly let of of Kimberly and walked behind his "leader." Chris walked over to my trembling sister and held her.

"You okay?" he asked worried. She only shook her head, then started crying.

"You guys better leave," Joey said.

"Please," Antoinette begged.

"Fine," Ricky hesitated, "but we'll be back."

"And you'll be very sorry," Ronny finished. The three then walked out the back gate.

"You guys stay in the front row now," Justin warned, as they went back up on the stage.

"Okay," Michelle and Sherry nodded. The band started up again.

"Here we go..." the sang.

"I'm getting thirsty," Melissa said as Justin started the first verse of "Here We Go."

"Okay," I said, as Michelle looked for a way out of the crowd.

"Wait," Antoinette stopped her, "Let me go with you. You'd never know if those jerks are still around."

"Alright," Melissa said, waiting for her twin, "better safe than sorry."

"Here we go..." JC strained the last few notes of the song.

"Where are they?" I whispered to the other girls. Melissa and Antoinette had not yet returned. The guys got off the stage. I guess they noticed that they were missing.

"What happened?" JC asked, "Where are our birthday girls?"

"They went to get a drink when you guys started singing," I said.

"And they're still not back," Kimberly frowned.

"Let's go look for them," Lance suggested.

"Okay," Alice and Acyuta said in unison.

We couldn't tell their parents because they weren't home, but we searched everywhere. They weren't in the crowd. They weren't out front. They weren't even in the house. The only thing we found was a cup of Orange Nog, Melissa's favorite drink. Finally, hopeless, we went into their bedrooms to find them. They weren't there either.

"Hey guys, wait!," I said as the others were about to leave Melissa's room, "I think I've found something."

"Jinkies," Joey said, without any laughter in his voice. It was a note.

We have the girls.

Don't you even dare call the police.

If you do, something bad

is going to happen to them.

We told you that you'd be sorry!!

"Oh, no," Kimberly gasped, her hand clamped over her mouth.

"Who would do such a thing?" Justin asked.

"I know," I said solemnly.

"Who? The three stooges?" JC asked.

"Yep," I nodded, staring at the paper.

"What are we going to do?" Alice said.

"I don't know," I said, "but those jerks are

going to pay."

"Yeah," Kimberly said, "They mess with out friends, they mess with us."
