Ch. 13

Natalie woke up and rubbed her eyes, and smiled to herself. She was in Scotts room after staying there the night and well...getting busy. So she grabbed one of Scotts Tommy Hillfiger t-shirts and some shorts and put on. As she walked out she saw Scott eating some toast.

‘Hey you’ she said.

‘Hi, you okay?’

‘Totally, i’m pretty hungry though,’ she said as she walked over and knicked Scotts toast.

‘I could have made you some you know.’ He replyed before putting some more in the toaster.

‘What time is it?’ asked Natalie

‘Its almost 1pm, wow i didn’t realise it was that late.’

‘Shit, gotta go, Cya later’ she said as she put on her shoes and kissed scott.

‘Why?’

‘I need to be in reception by 2.30 – i’m leaving aren’t i’

‘Oh yeh – don’t remind me’

‘Come down then, i’m sure you can pack clothes right?’

‘Nope – i’m useless’

‘Never mind, Cya later’ she said as she went out of the room, then the door opended and Scott looked up to see Natalie there again. ‘Oh and i’m keeping this T-shirt too’ she laughed as she then closed the door behind her.

‘Hey guys’ she said as she saw Abs and Louise sat together on the couch. She noticed Louises suitcase by the door. ‘Oh my god, your packed, i’m not even started’

‘Thats because I’m, organised and your not.’ Louise said then smiled ‘Nice t-shirt by the way Nats’ Natalie laughed as she made her way into her room. ‘I could do with some help Louise, any time soon...like NOW!!!!’

‘I’ll be one minute’ she said to Abs and made her way into Nats room ‘So come on, I want all the details – keep them clean though’ she whispered.

‘There are no details’

‘Oh come on, you slept at Scotts or should that be with Scott?!!’ she laughed

‘Shut up, okay maybe I did, but I can’t tell you if Abs is in the next room. So what did you get up to seeing that Abs slept here, or should i say slept with you.’ Natalie laughed back

‘Come on I’ll help you pack’ Louise said avoiding Natalies cheeky stare. It didn’t take them long to pack and they were done about 1.45. Scott had come down to drop off some of Nats things that she had left, and to say bye. All the lads had decided to come to the airport to see them go, except Ritchie who was still in the hospital recovering. Claire and Nessi arived just after with Sean and J, and they had already packed.

‘Right I guess its time to go,’ said J as he looked at his watch, ‘You don’t wanna miss your coach do you?’

‘Well...yeh actually’ said Nessi as she looked at J and sweetly smiled. They all grabbed there suitcases and hand lugage and headed to the door. Natalie and Scott were last.

‘Yeh whats going on with Nessi and J?’ aksed Scott

‘Nothing that i know of why?’

‘Haven’t you seen the way they look at each other?’

‘Yeh, i might speak to her on the coach, get it all out of her.’

‘Hey, wait’ Scott said as he stood in the middle of the room

‘What now?’ said Nats who was at the door, with the suitcase in her hand. She dropped it the walked towards him. Scott pulled her close when she was in reach and whispered to her.

‘This is where we had our first kiss.’

‘Yeh, how could I forget, gawd, I was sooooooo nervous.’

‘Yeh me too’ Scott said still whispering. She leant up towards him and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

'What now?’ said Nats who was at the door, with the suitcase in her hand. She dropped it the walked towards him. Scott pulled her close when she was in reach and whispered to her.

‘This is where we had our first kiss.’

Ch. 14

Nats and Scott joined the others at the reception and put the suitcases along with the rest of them.

‘Flights on time’ Louise informed them ‘So that means the coach will leave on time’

‘How long can you wait at the airport before having to go through passport control?’ asked Sean

‘Erm..I dunno, its only about an hour or something, right?’ Louise said. The others nodded. Through the main window a coach pulled up, Nessi was the first one to notice it.

‘Guess thats for us then’ she said as she pointed to the coach.

They grabbed there bags and boarded them on the coach. Louise and Claire went on first. They knew that the lads would follow and that they would see them there. Natalie yet again kissed Scott and boarded the coach. Nessi stepped onto the first step of the coach.

‘Nessi wait!’ called J

‘Yeh?’ she asked as she turned around.

‘Erm...’ his eyes met hers ‘Nothing...I’ll Cya in a bit’

‘Yeh, later’ she said as she walked towards the others.

‘Why don’t you just tell her how you feel?’ asked Scott ‘Be brave, make a move, or at least do something. Gawd even Sean moves faster than you!’ he laughed

‘Yeh, we’ll see how it goes’ replyed J ‘Taxis here’ he said as he saw Sean waving for them to go over.

‘So come on Nessi, whats going on?’ asked Natalie who was sat next to her.

‘Yeh, what is going on??’ asked Louise who was leaning on the headrest of Nessi seat. Claire sat there, showing interest, but not saying anything.

‘What with?’ asked Nessi innocently

‘You know what with’ Louise said, and Nessi shook her head ‘Come on what are all our girlie conversations about.’

‘Lads’ Natalie chipped in

‘Yeh, and what lad have you been spending all your time with on this holiday?’

‘J’ Natalie interupted again ‘So come on spill girl’

Nessi laughed ‘There is nothing to say, me and J are just mates and thats all.’

‘And do you want just to be mates?’ Claire asked timidly, it was clear that she still quite liked J, but wasn’t going to say anything that might spoil their friendship, again!

‘I dunno’ replyed Nessi honestly ‘In some ways yes and some ways no’

‘Spill’ laghed Natalie

‘Yeh, I like J, but I don’t know whether I want to go out with him or not, I guess we’ll just see how it goes’ she reached for her walkman and put in her earphones, it was a sign that she didn’t want them to ask anymore questions.

‘She likes J’ Louise mouthed, and Natalie nodded.

‘We’ll get it sorted’ Natalie mouthed back and stuck her thumb up.

‘So come on Man, what ya gonna do?' asked Abs for the sixth time

‘For the sixth time Abs’ J shouted ‘I’m not gonna do anything!!!!’

But Abs wanted to know, and the girls had sent them out wanting to know what J thinks ‘Tell me, what ya gon-’

But Scott cut in ‘She likes ya you know!’ J’s attention suddenly turned to Scott.

‘She does?’ he asked back.

‘Yeh, we know don’t we Abs?’ J turned to Abs, and Abs looked at Scott who winked and nodded his head.

‘Erm...yeh... yeh we do’ Abs replied. J turned back to Scott and Abs did a your-gonna-be-dead signal behind J’s back. Abs knew that he shouldn’t lie to J, not with something like this.

‘I never knew’ J said as he messed with the buttons of his coat like a two year old boy.

The coach pulled up outside the airport and the driver took the suitcases from the coach. The taxi wasn;t far behind and the lads went to the check in desk with them.

‘So, what did ya say to him?’ asked Natalie quietly to Scott

‘I told him that he should be brave and make a move’ Scott repeted from his earlier conversation.

‘And he said what?’

‘He’ll see how it goes’ Scott paused and continued ‘But that wasn’t all I said to him’ He admitted.

‘So what did you say?’

‘I kinda told him that Nessi liked him, and she does...right?’

‘I wish I knew, but I reckon she does, not that she’s gonna admit it me or anything!’

At the end of the queue were Nessi and J. Again they looked at ease in each others company. But there was added tension between them. J was dying to say how he felt and Nessi was more concered with trying to act normal. But both of them secrety knew that it would only be a matter of time before someone said anything, something that would make or break their realtionship.

Ch. 15

They all waited in the lobby sitting on leather chairs, eating chips and coke that was way overpriced. Nothing had yet happended between Nessi and J. They were still talking as friends – and only friends.

‘Well it looks like Nessi and J are going to go home single’ Abs remarked to Scott.

‘Yeh I know’ Natalie chipped in, even though Abs wasn’t directly speaking to her. She was lay on the chairs with her head on Scotts lap.

‘Can flight fCL 219 to Manchester, England please go to gate 11. Thank You’ a posh woman said over the tanoy.

‘Guess thats us’ Claire stated

‘Yeh, so we’d better go’ Louise said as she got up and grabbed her bag of the chair.

‘Keep in touch right!’ Abs said to Louise as he pulled her close. Louise nodded and kissed him. Louise then layed her head against his broad chest and a few tears dripped down her cheek after trying to hold them back as much as possible. She pulled away and once again gazed into his eyes, leaned in and gave him a single kiss. She and Claire walked away.

Natalie was still lay on Scotts lap.

‘Hey everyones going’ He said as he looked over her. Natalie opened her eyes.

‘Yeh I know’ she whispered as she sat up and rubbed her eyes. She dragged herself up from the chair and Scott got up too.

‘So this is it then’ Scott whispered.

‘Yeh, guess so.’ Nats lowered her head as Scott grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him.

‘I love you you know’ Scott whispered into Nats’ ear

‘Yeh, same here.’

‘God. Look at me i’m being all soft.’ Scott laughed

‘Yeh me too. I’m not that good at goodbyes ya know’

‘Good, coz its more of a see ya later type of thing’

‘Yeh, okay i really have to go now, see you when you get back to england’

‘definately. I’ll be there for ya GCSE’s and all of that’

‘Promise?’

‘Yeh’ He leaned in and kissed her, Nessi and J looked on.

‘Gawd them too are so soppy when they get together’ remarked Nessi.

‘Yeh. I know’ J looked at Nessi ‘Hey, before you go. I have to do this’ J moved towards Nessi and pulled her into a kiss. Nessi kissed him back, then pulled away,

‘I’m sorry I can’t do this’ she said as she tried to avoid looking at him.

‘What?’ J asked ‘Scott said that you liked me, and..and so did Abs’

‘Looks like Nats and Lou have been talking again’ she said quietly ‘Okay so it might be true, but I just don’t want to go through anything like that’ She pointed towards Nats and Scott. J looked over to them, and then to Abs who had sat back down on the chair looking where Louise and Nessi had passed through just minutes before.

‘Yeh, I see your point’

‘If it was under different circumstances, then maybe, no definately’ Nessi looked up at J who was now avoiding looking at her. ‘Friends right?’

J looked up ‘Yeh, definately’

‘Okay, I gotta go’

‘Yeh, okay’

‘Right...okay’ she pulled her bag back on her shoulder and walked away.

‘Nessi?’ J shouted back, Nessi turned back ‘Take care’ she nodded smiled then walked towards Natalie.

‘Ready?’ she asked Natalie, who was still hugging Scott.

‘Yeh lets go’ Natalie replyed. She kissed Scott again and they both walked away, getting closer to going back home.
