Ch. 11
‘Hello again. I have some more news on Richard Nevillie for you all.’ He started. ‘Well against all the odds he’s actually able to breath on his own now.’ A breath of relief swept through the group, ‘However, I must stress that his condition is still critical, however it is stablising.’
‘So, can we see him...again?’ asked Scott eagely.
‘Not yet, he needs time to rest, but I suppose you can go about dinner time. My shift will have finished then but some other doctor will tell you, okay?’
‘Thanks’ Scott answered, the doctor left.
‘I’m glad he’s okay’ Claire said
‘Yeh, but he’s not out of the woods yet though’ Sean replyed
‘Come on lets go for a walk’ Scott sugested as he grabbed Nats hand. They walked around the hospital until they found another bench near the fire exit.
‘What you thinking about?’ asked Nats, she could always tell when something was wrong with people.
‘I’m scared’ he replyed.
‘Yeh me too, but don’t worry Ritchie will pull through, you’ll see.’
‘Its not that though, well it is, but I’m scared for another reason too’
‘What?’
‘I think I have something wrong with me.’
‘Like what?’ Natalie slowly asked.
‘I’m scared of....doesn’t matter I feel stupid’ Scott trailed off, looking at the floor.
‘No, tell me’ Nats said slightly worried.
‘I’m scared of.....loving people’ he said then looking up at Natalie.
‘I have the same fear, but you know what?’ Scott shook his head ‘I love you, and you know that.’
‘Yeh, but it just seems like a little holiday romance, I need you to mean that.’
‘I really don’t know what your worrying about’ She took his hand ‘Maybe, at first I might have wanted that, just a two week thing...but now I can’t do that, I love you too much.’
‘really?’
‘Yeh, really’ Then she kissed him, the kiss that sealed there relationship for forever, ar at least for now.
Ch. 12
The week that they were all together soon past and Ritchie gradually became better. Natalie and Scott were still together and going strong as were Louise and Abs. However, this was there last night together before the girls went home, so they decided to have a nice quiet meal with the four of them together.
‘I can’t believe these 2 weeks are nearly over’ said Natalie as she played with the food on her plate. ‘I don’t wanna go back home. I’ll have to face everyone and get my damn G.C.S.E results back’ she paused, sighed and turned to Scott ‘I’m also not going to see you again.’
‘Hey don’t say that, you will. Maybe not as much, but we can survive this, i ’m not going to be away for that long, i promise. I’ll be there to see you get your A*’s, and I’ll spend as much time with you as I can.’ Scott said trying to comfort her, but these words didn’t mean anything. Natalie knew what was going to happen. Scott would be around the world meeting all these preety women, somethings bound to happen with one of them. But she didn’t say anything, she didn’t want to spoil their last night together.
The meal seemed to drag on, there was litttle talk between them. Everyone was thinking about what would happen. They got up left the resturant and went back to the apartment.
‘Anyone here?’ asked Louise as she opended the door and turned the lights on. There was no answer. ‘Guess not’
‘Man, how fast has this two weeks gone?’ asked Abs as he crashed on the couch
‘I think it went pretty slow actually, i mean with all the Ritchie crap going on, and The J and Claire and Nessi love triangle. Its too much’ Everyone nodded in agreemnet with him. Scott stood up and hovered at the doorway ‘Well I guess we’ll leave you two here and we’ll go up to our room, that okay by everyone?’
‘Sure is’ said Nats as she grabbed his hand and left the room. ‘Do you know what Scott?’
‘What?’ he said as they started to walk up the stairs.
‘We’ve not had much alone time have we?’
‘Not enough’ said Scott as he gave Natalie a passionate kiss. ‘But we can change that, or at least make this the best time we’ve had.’ Scott opened the door and saw J sat on the couch.
‘Hey’ J said as he saw them walk in.
‘What you doin here? I thought you were at the hospital with the rest of them.’
‘Yeh I was, but everyone was there and I needed some time by myself, you know to clear my head and that.’
‘Yeh, well no offence J but me and Natalie need some alone time too’
‘Oh yeh, sorry I’ll go. Sorry again’ he said as he reluctantly grabbed his jacket and left.
‘Yeh, you can’t just tell him to go like that’ Natalie said
‘Hey, it was you who wanted this alone time not me.’
‘Yeh, but I didn’t realise J was gonna be here.’ She paused ‘What do you mean you don’t want to be alone with me, you afraid I’m gonna jump you.’ Scott walked over, put his arms round her waist and pulled her close. So close she could hear and feel him breathing.
‘Why? Are you gonna?’ Scott whispered into her ear.
