“I’ve never been to a hot air balloon park before,” Nancy added as they drove along the dirt road towards the park which was only another 10 minutes from where they were.

“Me neither but it sounds like it could be fun,” Maya added over the sound of the radio which was blaring heavily.

“Plus they got a couple shops nearby where we land and a couple restaurants and stuff to go to afterwards so it’s not gonna be that bad,” Amira responded from the back seat where she was sitting with Nancy and Heidi.

“Sounds kewl enough. Oh turn up the radio!” Heidi called over the music which was already at full blast. Jessica Simpson’s new song, I Wanna Love You Forever came on the radio. It was one of Heidi’s new favourite songs, why she didn’t know but she really enjoyed the tune.

“It’s already up all the way,” Maya responded. She tried turning the volume up just case it wasn’t.

“Awwww, but I really wanted to hear that song,” Hayley whined, mimicking exactly what Heidi would say, if Hayley hadn’t beat her to it.

“You can still hear the song if your eardrums aren’t totally corrupted by the noise already,” Amira said. She looked towards Heidi.

“What I didn’t hear you?” Heidi pretended laughing at Amira who was sticking her tongue out at her.

“Hey there are the guys!” Nancy said, checking them out in the rearview mirror. It was kinda hard from the back seat but she somehow managed.

“Oh…do you have a crush on one of them or something?” Maya said laughing at her friend who always seemed to be going after guys.

“No!” Nancy protested, she couldn’t possibly tell the girls if she did cause they would just go and tell the guy. Not that there was one or anything.

“Whatever, we know you’re lying,” Hayley said looking back at her friend. She had been fairly quiet during the ride which was kinda unusual. “Oh! Our song is on the radio!” Hayley said trying to turn the sound up unsuccessfully.

“It’s all the way up remember,” Heidi said hitting her friend lightly in the back of the head.

“I know, I was only checking!” Hayley said trying to cover her mistake.

“Ah! Turn this music off!” boomed a loud voice from beside them. The guys had driven up next to them and were now hanging out the sides of their convertible, yelling at the music.

“Hey don’t diss the song guys!” Maya yelled back at them. They didn’t seem to hear but it didn’t matter cause they had arrived at the hot air balloon place and had to turn the music off anyways.

“Are you ready for the ride of your lives?” Scott asked the girls in a mysterious tone. He looked towards the girls suspiciously, as if he were in some murder mystery.

“Nothing is as bad as driving with Maya okay? That is like the ride of your life cause she is wild,” Heidi commented, looking towards Maya who was looking hurt in a sarcastic way. She knew the others hated her driving but only cause she didn’t drive as wild as the other girls might if they got behind a wheel.

“Well maybe we’ll have to see sometime,” said Abs looking towards Maya. She was now grinning wildly, the grin spreading from ear to ear.

“I guess so,” she responded kinda shyly despite the way she was feeling about then.

“Hey are you guys here to for a balloon ride?” a big burly man asked, walking up to the group which had crowded close to the front office.

“Yeah we are, is that okay?” Sean asked the guy who was looking at them funny but that could’ve just been the way he was.

“Yeah I should have enough balloons,” he replied, peering around the group towards the big storage facility.

“Come with me and I’ll get one of my employees to help you,” he said gruffly. He walked swiftly, despite his short legs, towards the warehouse.

“Thanks,” Nancy responded sweetly, even though she was kinda scared of this guy.
