Heavenly Promises- Chapter 1

Chapter 1

All of the girls from the popular band, Escape, were at Maya's parents' house; in Maya's room. It was 9:30pm, Maya's parents, along with her younger brother went shopping. The five girls are really close best friends, and know almost everything about eachother.

The light are out, and they are all engrossed in the Ouija board. They have been playing for a bit over an hour. The only light coming that can be seen is the moonlight, the glow in the dark posters, and Maya's oil lamp.

Suddenly the phone rang. They had all been interupted and were really annoyed at whoever called.

"Who the fuck would be calling at this hour?" asked Heidi, obviously annoyed.

"It's not very late, AND it might be VERY important", replied Nancy.

"Yeah, maybe", said Hayley. "Same, this MIGHT NOT BE IMPORTANT AT ALL!!!!" said Nancy.

"OH MY GOD!!! this is really defeaning AND ANNOYING!!!!!!-I'll pick up the damn phone", said Maya, who had flipped the light switch on, and went out the door to answer the phone.

The phone had rung for a total of 9 times before Maya picked it up. "Hello?", said Maya in a slightly annoyed tone.

"Hi, how's it goin'"?, asked a cheerful voice on the other end of the phoneline.

"Really well-who's this and who do you want to speak to?" asked Maya really annoyed. She hated small talk. And thought this call would be for one of her parents.

"To answer your question-This IS Mark Johnson, your manager, and I'd-"

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I thought you were someone else", said Maya, interrupting.

"That's ok-happend all the time", said Mark

"Soooo ...............what's up?" asked Maya

"I've got some news for you and the other girls, unfortunatley, 3 of them are not answering their phoes or are not home, and Nancy's mom anwered who doesn't know english-" said mark who waaas interupted againg

"They're all at my house", said Maya.

"Well-that's cool, you can pass the news to them than", said Mark

"Alight- I will, so what's the news"?, Maya asked. "Well-first, don't interupt me-wait 'till I'm done, ok?" Mark asked.

"okay", Maya agreed.

"As you know, you and the rest of the band have had a vacation, for a little over 2 months so far. I'm just reminding you, that you guys have less than 1 week of vacation left. Here's the good news: YOU GUYS ARE GOING ON A WORLD YOUR WITH A POPULAR BRITISH BAND!!!!!!", said Mark cheerfully.

"OH MY GOD!!!!!, we've been waoting for this for a really, really LONG time! Your the best- Mark, we all love you!!!!, the others will be thrilled when I tell them!!!!", Maya sad exitedly.

"hey, Maya, I'm glad your thrilled and are looking forward to it. Please come to my office with the rest of the band tomorrow morning, at 10:00am. There, you will have further details, and meet the other band, and their manager. I want you guys to get to know eachother before the tour begins."

"Thanks Mark, I'll tell the others, c-ya!"

"c-ya!" said Mark. They both hung up. Maya got back to the others after less than 5 minutes of talking with Mark.

She came back to the others, wearing a big smile on her face.

"Who called, and what happened on the phone?", asked Heidi.

Maya, than informed the others about the phone conversation, being sure to tell everything as it is, and not missing 1 detail. In secnds, they were all secreaming from joy and happiness.

"Do you know anything about the other band?" asked Sameera.

"You dope, Maya, told ya everything Mark told her. They're British-that's all we know!, we'll get to meet them tomorrow." said Sameera who was getting annoyed.

"Yeah, have SOME patience, well see 'em soon!!!, said Hayley.

"uh, huh", said Heidi.

"All of you, be at mine, Heidi's and Nancy's house, tomorow at 8:50 am. we're gonna to go Mark's offive together. You all know it's an hour away,soo........be there!!!, said Hayley. They all agreed.

"So, does anyone still waana play the Ouija board?", asked Maya, changing the subject.

"I was ONLY asking a question- God you people are SOOOO mean!!!!", exclaimed Nancy.

"Sam, ya know, we were ONLY joking", said Amira.

"Yeah, me too!, said Maya, who was obviously faking it.

"Well-what about Ouija"? asked Hayley.

"nope- i don't want to play anymore- I guess the other don't want to play anymore than I do", said Hayley.

"I guess she soeaks for the rest of us", said Nancy.

Maya and Hayley than put all the peices in the box.

"well- what do we do now"?, asked Hayley.

"i've gotta jet, i'll c-ya all later.", said Nancy.

"Yeah, me too", said Heidi.They all said bye to those that were leaving.

"so, that leaves the 3 of us", said Nancy.

"Yup", said Maya.

"how about we watch 'Deep blue sea?', it's on now, suggested Hayley.

"Good idea", said Maya.

"Yeah", Nancy agreed.

The 3 of them sat in front of the couch for 2 hrs. and watched 'Deep Blue Sea`.

When it was over Hayley said, "well- i've gotta go now, we all have to be in Mark's offive tomorow morning. And it's an hour drive. I'm gonna get some sleep". Haley went to put her shoes her shoes on.

"Hayley's right, I'm also leaving", said Nancy, who had joined Hayley. They all said bye.
