chapter 11
They were off on their way. They all made their way to an old abandoned warehouse. There were cobwebs everywhere. It was dark and dusty. They walked through the door and decided to split up into two groups so they can help find Samantha faster (hopefully). They walked through the empty halls and searched through the vacant rooms in search of their friend.
"Oww!" Sam struggled. A man fought with her to get her to place her wrists inside the handcuffs he had. A second guy helped him and as much as she struggled her wrists were placed inside thecuffs.
"Let me go!" she commanded.
A different man shooed away his henchmen and they walked out and he started to talk to Sam.
"You're GOING to help me. I SAW you pick that food up."
"I can't do that." she rattled her arms.
"Then tell me what you did." he demanded.
"I turn time back so the food wouldn't have fallen in the first place." she explained then stuck out her tongue a him. The man smiled. He knew exactly how this could help him out. Poor Samantha was too weak to argue. Her powers were wearing out. She needed the other four girls to refillit.Meanwhile...
"This smells." Heidi announced wrinkling her nose.
"Thanks for reminding me." Anna replied waving air to her nosewith her hand.
"This is creeky." J told them.
"Are you scared, J?" Heidi asked smiling slyly.
"No!" he answered quickly.
"Uh huh" the girls looked at each other doubtfully.
Abs laughed at the girls' childishness.
They kept walking down the halls looking in every room they came across hoping to find who they were looking for.
Meanwhile...
"I'm worried." Scott said following O. J. in a dark room. She turned on the lights but there was nothing there except some old cardboard boxes and a couple tables. Just to make sure, Julie inspected it throughly.
"Nothing in here." she started out the door but turned to ask Scott a question
"Why are you so scared for her? You don't even know her very well."Scott searched inside himself for the right words.
"You like her, don't ya?" she told him.
"I just want to get to know her better." he speciffied.
"Uh huh." she looked at him in disbelief.
"You birds, do that a lot."
"Yup!" she replied happily.
"This door is locked." Christina said trying to open the door.
"Then why don't you use your mind?" Sean asked. Ritchie laughed along at her stupidity.
"I knew that!" she snapped back. She stepped back and opened it easily. Julie and Scott joined them. They all went through and walked down another hall that was on the otherside of that door.
From one of the new doors, they could hear muffled noises inside. They knew someone had to be behind there.
chapter 12
They slowly opened the door, making sure it didn't make any noises while they were opening it. Inside were two men. One very old and the other somewhat younger. They were sitting, having a cup of coffee, and chatting about good times. The five people listened closely. They could hear what the men were talking about.
"That girl will be in big trouble when the boss finds out that she can't do anything. Magical powers! HAH!" the old man said.
"I don't know she was a little weird including her other friends. They are very quiet when I met them." the younger guy replied.
"We met them?" Christina whispered to Julie.She shrugged as her response.
"When did you meet her friends?" the old geezer asked.
"At a concert. Their music is brilliant, but when I met them back- stage they were so secretive and secluded from everyone else.
"I remember him." O. J. whispered. "He tried to kiss Heidi and then Heidi slapped him."
"Oh yeah!" Christina whispered back.
"Yeah, one of them smacked me." he said rubbing his cheek.
The girls giggled almost silently. Rich and Sean started looking around because they could tell Sam wasn't in there.
"That's what you get for messing with girls. They're only trouble!"
"It's not trouble we cause, it's chaos!" O. J. whispered giving Christina an idea. She used her power to pull the chairs the men were sitting on and the spilled their cups of coffee.
"Your so bad!" mouthed Julie as they walked to find Sean, Ritchie, and Scott opening another door. Inside they saw a door with a window. Through the window was Sam.
Meanwhile...
"I can't use my power!" Sam yelled.
"And why not little lady?" the man asked her getting angry.
"Because my friends aren't here! I need them. They complete our circle."
Meanwhile...
"Hey this way!" Abs instructed.
"Whatever you say, oh fearless leader." Anna said sarcastically.
The four people walked down more and more hallways. They were kind of lost and couldn't find their way through the big and somewhat deserted warehouse.
"Oh look." Heidi pointed to a window where she could see Sam and this old guy. The guy was torturing her as Sam lay helplessly on a bed strapped with handcuffs.
"God! Sam has such awful taste in men." Heidi declared.
"Come on." J tugged her arm, and they all followed Anna to a door that led to that room.
The nine people all stared through the little cracks in the door. Sam was being forced to use her power.
"Okay. Okay. I'll try without them." Sam shut her eyes and clenched her fists. She slowly and unsurely touched him as lightly as possible (she has to do that so she would bring him back with her) and the man looked at his watch. IT STOPPED! (He looked at the second hand.) Next, the watch's hands began to move slowly backwards. The mansmiled satisfied.
JUST OUTSIDE, there was something weird going on. The girls' powers started to turn on against them.
Everything Christina looked at would move. She looked at each of the guys and they levitated off the floor, and once she turned away they fell straight to the ground.
Heidi completely disappeared. She became invisible and no one saw her. The guys kept moving and backing up to her. When they turned around they saw nothingthere, jumped and ran away.
Anna was having a hard thinking straight. There were many voices in her head. When she looked at someone, their voice started talking in her head. Chatting over and over making her go crazy.Julie started bleeding. She never bled! The blood ran down her arm. She was starting to grow histaricle. She never felt pain. She never saw blood on herself. It was a completely new experience for her.
INSIDE, the man commanded Sam to make time go forward, and she did as she was told. When the watch went to the right time, he told her to stop.
OUTSIDE, everyone was back to normal. Suddenly, 5ive and the rest of the members of Chaos barged through the door at the same time. The man twirled around and signaled his troops to come. Heidi and Christina used their powers to help stall his henchmen. 5ive all opened a can of whoop ass. Anna and Julie (with their nonuseful powers at the time) went to free Samantha. Things were flying everywhere. The guards got scared and ran away. All that was left was the "boss" against five regular guys plus five"gifted" girls.
The "boss" hollered and more guys came out. This time they didn't run away. They were all buff and-two to each of their enemy-surrounded them. The guys had big muscler bodies like they were champion body builders.
The "boss" stood there smiling happily. He wasn't really sure whose power was whose. He only knew that Sam could control time and Heidi could turn invisible because she kept turning up and disappearing when these guys were holding her down. The others he wasn't too sure about. He pulled out a gun so they'd confess. And they did. He stood happily.
These girls could help him to achieve the highest honour-world'sbest villain. He held the gun tightly and commanded one guy to let go of Sam and to get his car ready. The guy did as he was told and Sam couldn't do anything. She was too weak to even stand. He pointed the gun towards her and threatened to shoot if she didn't use her power. She just fainted onto the floor. He pointed the gun towards her and then to the other girls.
"Go ahead! Shoot them! You can't! You don't have the guts to."Sam yelled.
"Really?" he pointed the gun towards Anna and prepared to shoot until Sam yelled at him again.
"But if you do shoot them then you'll win cuz then you couldn'tuse their power."
He lowered the gun. Then remembered there were other enemies in the room. He pointed the gun to Rich. Ritchie's dazzling blue eyes got him upset from the start. But he turned around and saw Scott. He pointed the gun to him. His dark hair and blue eyes got him mad. The rage and anger got to the "boss" and he pulled thetrigger.
Heading straight for Scott, no one stopped it. But Sam knew what she had to do. Feeling as weak as ever, she stopped time. The bullet stopped in the air and everyone froze as she got up off the floor as carefully as she could.
When she got up, she looked around the room and saw all her friends. They were all in trouble because of her.
She took a deep breath walked to the frozen statue of Scott. He looked brave taking in the bullet the "boss" shot at him. It made her smile. No one would have done that for her except her ex-boyfriend whom she missed desperately. She gave Scott a big hug and started up time again. The bullet raced for her.
