chapter 5
"Go Heidi!" Anna whispered to her. She didn't know someone was behind her though. It was Sean.
"Anna? Who are you talking to?" he asked her looking around hoping to find someone.
"No one."
"I heard you say Heidi. Where's Heidi anyway?"
"I don't know." she shrugged her shoulders and walked awayquickly.
Meanwhile Christina and Julie were still in the room of the meeting. They got bored just talking so they played somevideo games.
"No cheating!" O. J. warned."Unfair!" she whined."Unfair to me." Julie replied.
"Fine."
"I won!" O. J. yelled at the top of her lungs when she beat Christina, who always won because she cheats.
The commotion alerted Abs to see what they were doing and of course he saw Christina and Julie talking and playing a game. He walked in and heard most of their conversation.
"This is the first time I didn't cheat. You should feel really special." Christina had said.
"You cheat?! How do you cheat on a video game?" Absasked.
"Here. Play." she handed Julie's controller to Abs
"You'llfind out."
They started the game and in the middle Abs' controller didn't work. He pushed all the buttons as hard as he could, but they didn't work. Christina won easily.
Meanwhile Anna walked around the hotel some more because she wanted to get away from Sean. He would keep asking her questions she didn't want to answer. She went down to the lobby and saw J talking with Scott on the other side the room. Anna looked closer and her target was right at them and she could hear their conversation.
"She's pretty, but what about Sam?"
"She's pretty, mate. They all are."
"I know. A little mad but still pretty."
"Yeah. Rich has been acting different ever since he met them. He says it has something to do with Anna but I don't know."
"Yeah he has been acting madder than usual, J."
"I told him to go to sleep. I think the job is getting to him."
"Yeah."
Anna turned around and took a deep breath. They didn't know anything, and she was glad she was of the hook. She smiled and when she turned around to look at the two guys, she was face-to-face with Scott. J was rightbehind him.
"Scott! J! Hi." she said getting very nervous.
"What are you doing, Anna?" Scott asked her giving her aweird confused look.
"I was just looking...... "she pointed to this plant by her "looking at this....." she tried hard to read it but when she read the information on the plant, her finger got too close and it pricked her. The plant was an exotic cactus. Anna's finger started to bleed and she held it tight. "Oh no!"
"Oh you should get that fixed up." J advised. ***clumsy bird*** he thought but didn't say.
"Yeah. I'll go see O. J.""Why O. J.?"
"She's..... uhh..... "she thought and thought and quickly made something up "she's good at fixing cuts up and stuff. She has a magic touch." ***well it's true*** she said in herhead
"Okay. Go see Julie." Scott said. Anna walked a few steps, stopped, said "I'm not always this clumsy though.", and went to see O. J.
Scott looked at J and gave him a weird look. J had a surprised look on his face. He did not know how Anna knew what he was thinking. But she did.
chapter 6
Rich was sleeping in his room peacefully. He had a wonderfully good dream. He was snoring a bit--well maybe a lot. It made Heidi laugh at him, but he didn't wake up. Meanwhile Abs, Christina, and Julie were still playing some video games. Abs was trying to figure out why his controller didn't work. He pulled the cord and it flew out of its socket.
"That's why. It's not even plugged in." he said.
"It worked for me." Julie said back.
Suddenly, Anna came into the room. She didn't see Abs but said, "Julie please help me. I'm bleeding. Eww! And all the blood is coming out. Oh hi Abs."
"Hi. Why do you need Julie to fix YOUR cut?"
"She's really good at that." she said panicky.
"OK?"
"Come on Abs, I'll take you out to eat." Christina covered up. She grabbed Abs' arm and dragged him out of the room, so
Julie could fix Anna's finger.
She waved her hand over Anna's finger. A white light shone over it and the cut stopped bleeding and healed itself.
"There you go, Anna. Watch out next time." O. J. told her.
"I'm going to rest. Close the door on your way out."
Anna left her room, not thinking about all the pain she once had but thinking of the importance of Julie.
Meanwhile, Sam was stuffing her face with all the delicate array of deserts on the beautiful platter. She was setting them down and holding them and placing them slowly in her mouth. Then she dropped something. The food splattered across the floor. The little crackers rolled around and the cheese underneath all the tables. She quickly looked around to see if there was anyone in the room watching her. When she saw no one, Sam pulled her fists together and closed her eyes. The food from the floor rose themselves the same way it came down and magically flew into its place before Sam had dropped it. When she opened her eyes, she continued eating happily. Too bad she didn't notice the man behind the shadows of the wall watching her.
Meanwhile Heidi came out of Ritchie's room and went down stairs to the lounge. She saw Scott and J and decided to go join them.
"Hey guys." she greeted them.
"Hey, where have you been?" Scott asked her.
"Oh nowhere. Where's Ritchie?" she asked knowingly.
"He's in his room sleeping. Did you know he snores like an old geezer?" J laughed.
Heidi laughed along with him 'cause she knew he did from listening to him in his room.
"He talks in his sleep too, right?" she said mistakenly.
"How did you know?" Scott asked her.
"I read somewhere that people who snore have a better chance of talking in their sleep." Heidi lied.
"Really?"
"That's what I read."
Meanwhile Anna was going down the elevator. She went down to see Heidi, Scott, and J talking she didn't want to bother them so she walked into the restaurant area to see Sam devouring herself with little individually made snacks. She sat by her and asked
"Hey, how are you?"
"I used my power today? Did you?"
"Accidentally. J called me clumsy in his mind and I toldhim I wasn't."
"I understand. You can't control your power. The rest of us can. (the rest of us=chaos)"
"I know, but I'm gonna be the one to expose us."
"Don't worry I'll take care of it. Just as long as we don't loose each other. Here you gotta try this." Sam gave a little cracker to Anna and she tried it.
"Mmm. This IS good." Anna said.
Later that day, everyone was down stairs in the restaurant. They were eating dinner and didn't want to go anywhere crowded so they'd get recognized and the hotel restaurant was never packed.
"I wanna hear you guys sing again." Sam announced.
All five of them shook their heads.
"How about we each sing individually and you mean tough guys sing all together? Please?" Christina asked
"You don't wanna see me beg."
"Yes we do." Scott encouraged.
"Fine." Christina got up from her chair and went to her knees, clasped her hands together and kept saying 'please please please" over and over again until all thelads eventually gave in.
"I told you, you didn't wanna hear me beg."
"I go first." Sam got up fast and ran to the stage and started to sing immediately.
"She loves to sing, can't you tell?" Heidi asked.
They all sang their songs and when it came to the guys, they sang 'Until The Time Is Through".
"Why are they singing a song slow?" Sam asked out loud.
"Because it's a slow song."
"Yeah , but why are they singing a slow song? Can't it be fast and upbeat?" Sam said in a panic.
She listened to the lyrics closely and when she couldn't take it anymore she ran out of the restaurant. The other girls looked at her and felt guilty for making her stay and listen. Sam hates slow songs. They remind her of an ex-boyfriend of hers.
After the song was over, 5ive went back to their table and Scott asked "where's Sam?"
"Samantha is in her room now." Christina answered. "Why?"
"Did we forget to tell you that she hates slow songs?"
"Yeah now she's kinda sad." Anna added.
"Especially from those beautiful slow songs like the one you guys just sang." finalized Heidi.
The guys all blushed. Heidi liked seeing guys blush. It made her feel cool 'cause she could see their smiles coming in.
"I'm gonna go see how she's doing." Scott got up slowlyand went to see Samantha.
"I guess we know who Scott likes." J barely whispered. Anna smiled when she heard that.
