Mood:  chillin'

So this is my first blog that I have ever written. I am kind of unfamilar on what you should discuss, but I am pretty sure that I should start off with telling you a little bit about me. 

Well first off, my name is Shelby & I am 18 years old. I will be 19 on February 16! I was born in West Chester, PA, but I have been living in Myrtle Beach, SC for about 13 years. I live with my mom, step-dad, cat Whiskers & dog Maggie. 

I currently attend The University of South Carolina...GO GAMECOCKS! I believe we are the real USC & not the University of Southern California. I love everything about USC, and although it was not my first choice, I could not see myself anywhere else. My major is Visual Communications which is in the School of Journalism. Some of the extracurricular activites that I participate in include: Carolina Productions, Garnet&Black, Behind The Back Garden Literary Magazine, CRU, Patterson Bible Study, and several others. If this seems like a lot on top of school, your right! Sometimes it becomes overwhelming, but I think I am pretty good at balancing everything.

Some of my interests are music, photography, writing, hanging out with friends, shopping, partying, and when I am home, going to the beach. Once I graduate from USC, I am hoping to move to NY to start my own music magazine. Although this ambition is far-fetched, I think that if I put my mind to it, and work hard, that it could be possible one day. Without music, I do not think that I could live; Music is my life...end of story!

My favorite animal is the cheetah & my favorite color is pink. I love chicken (except for fried chicken), macaroni & cheese, and although I am somewhat lactose-intolerant, strawberry bagels with cream cheese! I love Australia, and I can not wait to go there for Study Abroad in Spring '09!
