Twisted Method hails from the town of Cape Coral, FL. It is a town that consists of the newly wed, the nearly dead, and everyone in between. Two of these Cape Coma citizens, Andrew Howard & Bed Gions, met in high school as Ben overherd Andrew talking about him ambitions to start a band & rule the world. This piqued Ben's interest and the two began to disscuss starting a band together. The two young boys being only 14 years old would have to enlist in the aid of they're mothers to drive Andrew over to Ben's house was the DeSantis house, where we find Derek DeSantis. He would come over & hang out with the two. They would jam out for hours but Derek felt left out. So since Derek was hanging out all the time anywaym the summer after their freshman year, Derek went to a pawn shop & pawned his playstation to buy a bass, and then there were the three. During they're sophomore year at Mariner High School the three tried out other guitarists but none of them seemed to quite work out. However, one of the tryouts knew a kid whose parents were in bands so he had a PA system. The band inbited the kid to come over & hook up his PA and microphones to mic the instruments, During the practice the kid asked if he could sing, the band obliged and so he did. He continued to sing for the band until the present day. The kid's Name: Derrick Tribbet. Sence the band alreayd had a Derek and he is quite a "Trip" he was later nicknamed "Trip" So then Andy, Ben, Derek, and Tripp went on to play at local bars, talents shows, a pep rally, and numerous private parties. The four of them have growns up together and are tight like brothers and down like four flat ties. This tightness and brotherly sence of unity has allowed this group to stay together through fights, injury, girls, times of loss, being broke, depression, pain, illness and being broke. The band played together for about 4 years locally slowly building a name for themselves. One day the Twisted Method heard of an opportunity to open for another local band, Cinder, who was showcasing for a labe. being the savvy businessmen they are, they quickly jumped at the opportunity. There was a meeting at a local restaurant to coordinate the show. At the meeting the boys met Charlie Pennachio, the manager of Cinder. Charlie was impressed with the boys, and was looking forward to seeing them live. A few weeks later the show happened and Charlies expectations of the band were exceeded. he approached the band showrtly after with management contracts. The contracts were looked over by an attorney and sighned thus binding Twisted Method and 3sixty Management. Stated in the contract was the manager's obligation to the get the band signed within a 6-month perion. It happened in 5. Twisted Method after showcassing for a number of labels was sighned to MCA Records without even having a demo tape! The label was impressed with their live performanace so much that they made an offer the band couldn't refuse. The band accepted and was officially signed to MCA Recors. In Augest of 2002 the band flew to LA to record their first CD. This was their first time getting a chance to live on their own away from home. They had a BLAST! Then pre-production for the studio started and it was solid work then on out. The band worked long hours for month gettins everything tight & ready to go. They then worked many longer hour days in the studio for 2 more months laying down tracks and editing. The boys learned a lot in LA about studios about the business and about themselves. The CD aptly named "Escape from Cape Coma", a toungue-in-cheek reference to their hometown, will be released on MCA Records in June of 2003. Look for it, as well as the band coming through a town near you!
