The Best Section In the Band! No Argument!

Tough Stuff

Well, I'm done. I've graduated. (Woo!) But the Biglerville Marching band, and the Low Brass section in particular, march on. So, I shall, at times, post here information pertaining to one, but more to the other, as the information comes to me.
Also, keep checking back here to get an update on what I'm doing with the Ship Low Brass Section this fall. Visit Ship's Low Brass Page

This year's show, "The Promise of Life", consists of Aaron Copland's "Appalacian Spring", "Make Our Garden Grow", and "The Candide Overature", both by Leonard Bernstein.
Arranger is Zachary Carins, and the Band is directed by Mrs. Jamie Cope.

This year's Low Brass members: Eric Group, Matt Naylor, Magda Krawvczyk, Amanda Starner, and Al Farrel.
I'll be watching from the sidelines as they set out on yet another difficult path that will only result in making them stronger, more valuble low-brassists. They face many a steamy band practice, two weeks of band camp, many a friday night football game, competitions, rain, sleet, hail, thunderstorms, and freezing cold temperatures. Best of luck to them, as I go on to face the same at college, with a bandroom three times smaller than the one here. (Oh, blast. Regression.)
***We've found out by now that there is no vacation in the life of a band geek. So long as you're in band, you're going to be up until one a.m. doing home work every monday and thursday, but it's absolutely nothing to complain about. After all, you signed up for it. You may as well suck it up and do the work that comes with the fun. Anyway, how interesting would your life be in the fall if you didn't have marching band???***
You know you love it.

The BHS band... Football is for the kids who can't move their arms fast enough to play trombone. (and we drag anyways, so that's really sad.)

I am going to Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2003. I don't know yet which building I'll be living in, but I should know here sometime soon. I'll be playing trombone in the Red Raider Marching Band, in a secion of 30 fellow low-brassists. I'll also, primarily, be majoring in English with a Secondary Certification. Feel free to send me any spare $50 you might have lying around...I can certainly use it.

Check this stuff out. Sign my geustbook, send suggestions, if you like. Maybe even some pictures if you have them:) Funny memory you'd like to share? Let me know!

Hair Color: brown when it's not summer or dyed, auburnish when it's dyed, and blonde in the summer, regardless of the dye.
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Height: 5'5"
Living Arrangement: At my house in heidlersburg. I live with my mom, my brother, a dog, a fish, countless peices of furniture, random peices of junk, and many other things. *Soon, I will be living in Shippensburg with countless other people and very small amounts of my own furniture and/or junk.*
What book are you reading?: Oedipus at Colonus, currently. It's short and I need something to get the last book reveiw of my high school career done. I was reading 1984. I think it's one of three books I've read cover to cover this year.
What's on your mouse pad?: Tye Dye!!! I got it at Staples:D
Least favorite smells: Hmm...whatever is rotting in the girl's locker room, chikin poo from the farm up Spicer Road, poo in general, anything that maked me wrinkle my nose and gag.
Worst feeling in the world: Knowing I've hurt someone close to me; having someone close to me die or move far away; the thought of graduating and leaving all my friends, Tim, my Twin, and my Bro behind...
First thing you do in the morning: Weekdays->wake up at six, stumble across the room, hit the snooze button, and stumble back to bed. Weekends-> roll over to get away from the sun and smack my head on the wall. Happens every time. I don't know why I haven't learned yet.
How many rings til you answer the phone?: Depends on how close I am to the handset. Usually, two because I screen my calls and don't pick up unless it's a number i recognize.
Future Child's Name: Haven't really given it much thought. I have favorite names, but I haven't given a whole lot of thought to marriage and kids yet.
What's most important in life: hmm...good education, keeping good company, having free will and free spirit, love, family, the feel of wind on your face when you need to feel free, Tim, my job (can't be happy if i'm not sustained.), my car, and mostly; being happy with who you've been, who you are, and who you're becoming.
Do you drive fast: Define fast? I try to do the speed limit, but I don't always. However, I don't drive any faster than I'm comfortable with because I value my car, my life, and the lives of others.
Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?: Yes, I do:) A large stuffed sheep I got for valentine's day, and a brown bear i got for my birthday:);):-*
Storms: Cool or Scary?: Most definetly cool! Just not when you're stuck up on Yellow Hill in a tent with two other people (wayne and lyds!) and the storm lasts all night long! THAT was scary. But if I'm sitting inside watching throught the window, storms are nature's fireworks show.
What type was your first car?: '94 Chevy Cavalier
If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?: Nat Huettner. I have a lot to thank him for.
What's your dream job?: Teaching kids anything. They're our future, and if I can change their minds for the better, I can change the future.
If you could dye your hair any color, what would it be?: Hmm...umm, i just dyed it auburn a couple months ago, so...yeah. I don't think I'd be too wild with that one. I like my hair.
Is the glass half empty or half full?: Honestly, it depends on my mood and how thirsty I am. But logically, it's both. At first glamce? Half-full.
What's under your bed?: Nothing. My bed is on the floor, because if I put it on a frame, I would hit my head on the ceiling every time i got up. You'd understand if you saw my room.
Single or taken?: Physically, no one can TAKE me. But emotionally, yes, I am taken. Meaning there is another person who holds my heart in the palm of his hand and does as he chooses with it, and thus far, he's kept it well:)
Who's your crush/boyfriend?: uh duh...but for those who don't know (shame on you...it's been over a year...) Tim Rohrer.
What do you have peirced?: Nothing. I did have my ears peirced, but the holes grew closed and I don't wish to have anything peirced.
What do you get labeled as?: Nicole says that I am the school's only neo-hippie band geek. But I try not to label myself...
Do you do drugs?: NEVER. My mom works at a detox clinic in MD and after visiting there, I never want to even hear about the stuff. YOU go spend a night at that place and you'll see what I mean.
What kind of shampoo do you use?: What kind of question is that? What does it have to do with anything? What substance does it hold?!?!
Suave
What are you most scared of?: Losing people I love to any kind of circumstnace.

get this gear!
