Band History
Sit back children and let me tell you a tale. The Teles, a punk rock band from South Central Ct, got together way back in the summer of 1998. In those days however, they weren't called The Teles. They went through several name changes before deciding on The Teles. They even played their first show under a completely different name. For about a year or so following their birth, the spirited youths went under the name, The Televangelistas. This however was much to long and couldn't be pronounced correctly anyway. The Teles felt that it was time for a name change or at least a shortening of the existing one. This was when The Teles came into play. The Teles continued to play shows around Ct and in Feb of 2000, they played at Toad's Place in New Haven. The Teles completed their first studio album in the fall of 01'. The boys are still workin on their stretch throughout ct but are gainin ground fast.
