Thank you for visiting The Shards of Blue's home page. We are a band that was created in mid May. We started out with our name 'The Futility,' but we decided that it sounded too much like a punk band, and we don't want to sound like a punk band. Originally we had a drummer named Dave, but we was not showing up to practices and was always busy, so we had to pick someone who was comitted to coming. We were in luck, Pat and Derek are neighbors,and our drummer just moved into the house near Pat and Derek in the same neighborhood. Adam lives only about 3 miles down the street, so location is not a problem. As of now we have maybe 12 or more songs. Many of them which are being worked on, and 4 possibly 5 are covers. We are trying not to cover that many songs, but we are definately going to make a lot more songs than we cover. Hopefuly we will start playing concerts in our town. If we have a concert coming up it will be posted on this site under tour dates(when we get one). Thanks for visiting. -The Band
