Religion

The African religion is very diverse. Relgion is very important in the African culture, and many shared similar religious beliefs. In most societes, African people believed that spirits populated the world. These included the spirits of ancestors, who remaind an important part of the ongoing life of the clan. Ancestors mediate between man and a supreme creator god. They also linked gods to certain aspects of nature and human life, such as farming. A belief in the afterlife is incorporated into myths and funerals.
