Serotonin is a rock band that hails from Carlisle, Massachusetts. The band was started by Ben Brewer (lead guitar) and Will Scarlett (bass guitar) in 2000, with the intention of playing at the school talent show. At that point, the band had no name, no official vocalist or drummer, and no rhthym guitarist. Ben's older brother, Alex Brewer (vocals,) after playing the drums for the band at their very beginning, ended up singing for them shortly after the talent show took place, as the official vocalist of the group. Awhile later, in early 2001, the band invited Jake Faucher (drums) to play with them. Later that year, the band played at the talent show, joined by their drummer. Finally, in late 2001, the guys also invited Jason Fidler (rhythm guitar) into the band. This completed the set- and Serotonin was off on its way.

Serotonin plays rock music, with influences including Radiohead, Dispatch, The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, 311, and Led Zeppelin, among many others. Their music reflects the styles of many of these bands, and they do covers of their favorite songs. Serotonin has recordings of their performances at the CCHS Battle of the Bands from the last two years, some of their original songs that they record at home, and a recently recorded demo cd of four original tracks that was done in a studio. If you want a CD, e-mail me and I'll get you one.
