Saddletramp,Real Southern Rock, Real Good!
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: At a club in your hometown, schedule to follow
Topic: Upstate NY music scene
It seemed like a long time coming, but it's finally happened, someone has formed a bonefide Southern/Country Rock band that performs 70's & early 80's country rock the way it was meant to be. Comprised of 5 talented musicians,Saddletramp captures the likeness of groups such as Marhall Tucker,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Pure Prairie League,New Riders, Allman Brothers, and much more! You'll feel like you were transported back to the 70's when people partied hearty, and they had to kicked out at closing time. Featuring the guitar talents of Al Kenyon and Mike Bell, these two guys intricately weave double leads, blazing solos, and slide guitar necessary to capture that authentic feel needed to make this style of music happen. Add veteran piano virtuoso Rick Gherkin to the mix. Rick plays real honky tonk piano, flowing Hammond B-3 organ, again providing to that "sound". Rounding out this quintet, the rock solid rythm section of Dennis Lasher(bass)and Randy Gates(drums)Every member of this group sings, alot of emphasis on great harmonies and arrangements, You will be pleasently surprised! We also use a graet sound production company with sound engineer Terry Parker, Terry's resume sounds like a virtual who's who in upstate NY,having worked with local favorites Mr. Edd,NY Flyers,Alec Starr, and national acts 805 and Asleep at the Wheel,Terry's mix pushes this band over the top. So, if your into the "dance/disco"scene, or want to hear commercial "schlock" or karoke,LEAVE US OUT! But if you've been longing to hear a live band perform great authentic Southern/Country Rock, Saddletramp is for you. Real southern rock, real good! It's about time. Contact Al Kenyon@315-697-5236 or Dennis Lasher@315-853-4157 for booking info
